Berlin Fashion Week 2017 Live! All shows and events

Berlin Fashion Week SS18 – In a few days it starts again, the Berlin Fashion Week! Shows, dates and events: The absolute “Fashion Mecca” not only for shoppers and boutique owners. Models, designers, actors, VIPs, musicians, fashion magazines and of course numerous bloggers gather in Berlin. The Fashion Week always consists of several parts. There are the public shows and the shows that you can only visit with invitations. Hotly sought after are of course all the tickets for the runway. Of course, everyone wants to go to the fashion shows at Fashion Week, no matter if editor or blogger, actor or musician. The who’s who of the fashion industry meets here to see the latest collections of the designers and to sit comfortably together with a drink or two. Not only in Berlin, but also at the Fashion Weeks 2017 in Paris, Milan and New York.

Fair, fashion show, people: Berlin Fashion Week SS18

While the fashion industry is often fast-paced and trends are part of everyday life, here you have the time to come down from the job a bit. You can meet with many like-minded people and see many acquaintances again, who are otherwise scattered throughout Germany or the world. In addition to the fashion shows, there are many more highlights at the Fashion Week, such as the side events: blogger cafés, award ceremonies, but also the fashion fairs. At the fashion fairs in Berlin (Panorama, Seek, etc.) you meet mainly the buyers of boutiques and retailers. They look at the latest pieces and collections and order for their stores and the coming season. The fashion fairs are distributed throughout the city and often specialize in certain industries, such as weddings, sports or urban clothing.

Fair day and the show of Rebekka Ruétz / July 5

On the third day of the Fashion Week there are many fair events to look at. In the afternoon Rebekka Ruétz presents her new pieces.

Rebekka Ruétz – Fashion staging with jewellery

The collection is at times poetic and delicate, at other times whimsical and irreverent. It’s all about diversity and originality, retro athletic wear meets femininity and science fiction. The shapes are distorted and emphasize the typical mix of materials. From 15:30 the designer presents her pieces at Kaufhaus Jandorf.

Flora & Hien Le the shows of the day / July 6

The fourth day of Fashion Week shows us not only exciting insights from the Greenshowroom and the Ethical Fashion Show, but also great shows from ÉDITION “FLORA” and Hien Le.

Steinrohner – The new trends of the ÉDITION “FLORA

Inspired by the colours and the floral, sweet playfulness of the Tiger Lily, Édition FLORA ‘s new creations take the wearer on a flight of the senses similar to bees gathering pollen from blossom to blossom, lightly and fragilely spreading the expressive power of flowers.

Hien Le – SS2018 by Fashion Label

As part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Hien Le will show his Spring/Summer 2018 collection at Kaufhaus Jandorf on 06 July 2017. Hien Le’s collection is an ode to the poetry of dance and explores the interplay between body and fabric in seemingly fragile movements, behind which lie unique strength and discipline.

The last Fashion Shows: Closing of the Fashion Week / July 7

The last day has as an absolute highlight of course the SHow of MICHALSKY scheduled. He thus ends the MBFW for the SS18.

MICHALSKY – The fashion designer’s Stylenight

The new ATELIER MICHALSKY collection is a homage to modern life. With the collection theme “Electric Hedonism” the Berlin designer Michael Michalsky picks up a socially relevant theme. He will also present his collection at Ewerk in Berlin.

More about Berlin Fashion Week in spring

Here you can find a few articles of the last season AW 17/18 (autumn / winter)!

Fashion Weeks Worldwide: Trends in Berlin, Paris and New York

After the great success of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2017 in spring, the planning for the upcoming Fashion Week for the Spring/Summer Collections 2018 starts now! But not only in Berlin is soon again Fashion Week season, but also in mega metropolises like Milan, New York, London and Paris the preparations are running at full speed. Because all fashion enthusiasts are already eagerly waiting for news, info and first insights, I have picked out the best of this year’s Fashion Weeks and of course all the information published so far about the upcoming Fashion Weeks for you.

Fashion Week 2017 – Shows Fall, Winter 17/18

This spring, the crème de la crème of the fashion scene gathered in the fashion hot spots of this world to look at the new trends and collections for the upcoming autumn/winter collection 17/18. Whether Berlin, London, Paris, Milan or New York. Thousands flocked to the cities to visit the shows of the star designers. I have summarized the highlights of the shows for you.

Malaikaraiss – MBFW 2017

“There’s a lot of melancholy in my collection,” she explained. “It’s my reaction to what’s happening in the world.” How does that manifest itself in her designs for the 2017/18 fall/winter season? In things deliberately connoted as sad, like an abstracted poppy print, or in pieces that exude a certain toughness, like the unusually masculine suits for Malaikaraiss. She wants to arm her women for the future, it seems. But she also wants to equip them with what women and their femininity is all about, as bright colors like a vibrant pink come into play as “silver linings.” As a result, her collection as a whole looks extremely optimistic.

Dorothee Schumacher – MBFW 2017

Dorothee Schumacher called this selection the “Zeitgeist Edit” – and this impression hovered over the entire collection. She gave the collection the hashtag #amoderntribe (clearly visible as a sticker on the show notes), but the fact that she had set her sights on an explicitly modern look was also clear enough from her designs. There were raincoats with drawstrings, long down vests worn over wide suit trousers, stand-up trousers, hybrid dresses that seemed to be composed of a knitted sweater and a blouse, slip dresses combined with long-sleeved tops, stand-up trousers – basically all the looks that street style stars have shown themselves in on the streets of international fashion capitals over the last three seasons.

Chanel – Paris 2017

After many seasons of international catwalks, Karl Lagerfeld decided to head to Paris this season. Lagerfeld staged Chanel’s Cruise 2018 by transforming his usual ready-to-wear show location, the Grand Palais, into a picturesque series of ancient ruins and columns. Titled “The Modernity of Antiquity,” the new collection was inspired by Greece. Draped fabrics, one-shoulder dresses, gold accents and knee-high sandals ran throughout the collection.

. I absolutely adored this #CHANELCruise collection. And the set ??

Yeezy 5 for Adidas – NYFW 2017

A statement against xenophobia was delivered by Kanye West, who until recently was an avowed admirer of the president. He had his athleisure – high-cut jeans, hoodies, cargo pants and knee boots – shown off by Muslim model Halima Aden, among others. The child of Somali immigrants walked in an ankle-length fur coat and hijab. West, the Trump of the fashion world, was otherwise remarkably restrained by his standards.

Public School – NYFW 2017

Public School also had something on the cap for the president, who is in exile in Washington. The label outfitted its models with caps that read, “Make America New York.”

Fashion Week 2017 – Shows Summer ’18

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin

Not much is known about this year’s Fashion Week yet. Many locations have been announced on the official website. We have a small overview for you.

Power Station Berlin

In the center of Berlin, in Köpenicker Straße, stands the former combined heat and power plant Mitte. Over the past few years, the entire building has been extensively converted and expanded and is now a special place for exhibitions and events. A unique space full of energy.

Postbahnhof Berlin

The 3000 sqm large, monumental Postbahnhof impresses with its clear lines and its plain, dark clinkered facade in the style of the Marchean brick Gothic. No less charming is the interior – the two huge, former postal loading halls that make up the Postbahnhof, apart from insignificant side rooms.
