To ensure that the chi is retained and does not escape again immediately, the living room door should not be directly opposite a window. If this is the case, plants on the window front protect against negative influences from the outside and from the chi escaping too quickly. The middle of the living room ideally remains free – so the Chi can spread undisturbed and strengthen the inhabitants.

Location of the bedroom: view into the garden

In Feng Shui, the location of the rooms is also assigned a special meaning. The bedroom is best located in the back of the house. You should be able to see doors and windows from your bed, but be careful not to lie in a direct line to the bedroom door – otherwise the chi will flow towards you unchecked. Also, do not sleep directly between the window and the door, as this will have the same effect: you will be in the chi flow.

Bedroom furnishings: Bed, wardrobes & mirror in Feng Shui

The best option is a bed with a large headboard, the bed itself should not have a metal frame and should be made mostly of natural wood. Likewise, cabinets and chests of drawers should be made of natural materials in round shapes. These should be closed as much as possible to create a more uncluttered atmosphere. Large, heavy shelves, pictures or lamps are a no-go, they create too much restlessness and distraction during sleep. If there is the possibility of a dressing room, move the wardrobes completely out of the bedroom.

Mirrors in the bedroom should be avoided – the reflection generates strong activity and disturbs sleep. If the mirror is indispensable, it should in no case be in the line of sight of the bed, otherwise the consumed energy will be returned directly to you.

The Industrial Style or Industrial Chic is characterized by the furnishing of old industrial buildings and factories. The aim is not to falsify the charm of old factories and to complement it with modern furnishings. The mixture of modern and old, makes every interior a real eye-catcher. Material reminiscent of factories and industry should stand out as the main component of the kitchen. That is, the front of a kitchen should be as much as possible steel, metal or wood. Here, it is not important that the front should be ornate or romantic. A clean, cool and modern look is what industrial style is all about. In addition to the matching kitchen unit and front, matching accessories are particularly important to support the loft flair. The accessories should be restrained, but still striking enough to complement the furniture perfectly.

A big focus is on using the right lamps. In industrial buildings or factory halls, large lamps were always used, which provided enough light for a large room. This function and the size of the lamp should be combined with the appropriate look. So brushed steel lamps in grey or black are especially in demand. The bell shape is the classic shape for lamps in industrial style. In addition to the lamps, the following accessories are also important:

Bathroom: clean lines, natural materials & matching decoration

If you want to furnish your bathroom in industrial style, only a few small pieces are usually necessary. As a floor is suitable stone or concrete floor and on the walls makes old stone, masonry or tile particularly well. If you have this basis, it is easy to achieve the industrial look.
