Everyone knows it, many have and love it, there are own recipe books just for the Thermomix – but what exactly is it? The original Thermomix is an invention of the well-known German company Vorwerk. As a multifunctional food processor, it can chop, blend, heat and even cook food.
The Thermomix TM5 is a proven device from Vorwerk and has been available on the market since its release in 2014. With a maximum power of 500 watts, it covers a speed of 40 when gently stirring to 10,700 in turbo mode. The speed is infinitely variable, but there is a special setting (alternate mode) for making dough. In addition to the mixing bowl over 2.2 litres in volume, the TM5 comes standard with a steamer insert, known as a Varoma, which has a capacity of 3.3 litres.
