Enyadres in interview – Dancing, singing, music. That’s Enya’s life. She is a content creator on Instagram and TikTok and produces a lot of dance content. Challenges, own choreographies and dance collabs with Thekrizzl or Julien Bam, among others. Every now and then, however, Enya also releases a single. This started in 2017 at the young age of 18 when she released her first song “Mädchen”. This was followed by the second song “Fliegen lernen” and the album “Standard” in 2020. Lastly, she released the single “Pokemon” in November this year.

A life full of music – dance & song

In this interview, Enya talks to our magazine about the topic of music. Because music plays a very big role in her life. Whether dancing or singing. Music is simply part of it. But how did her career begin? That’s exactly where we picked up and asked her how she discovered her passion for dancing. We also asked her what kind of TikTok she enjoys more. In addition, she talks to us about producing a TikTok and what the process behind it looks like. Furthermore, she shares tips for dance beginners. Dancing: Not only a passion

FIV: Hello dear Enya, thank you very much for taking the time for this interview and how nice that it works out today. Let’s start right away with your passion: dancing. How did you discover dancing for yourself?

Enya: I’ve actually been dancing since I was 3 years old and I always had rhythm in my blood as a baby, my mom always says.

FIV: So dancing has been with you all your life. What kind of music do you like to dance to the most?

Enya: To almost everything, actually. Be it hip hop, dancehall, pop.

Dance Collabs with Thekrizzl by Ed Sheeran

FIV: On your social media channels, besides your dance videos, you also post dance collabs and recently you started doing dance collabs with Thekrizzl. Would you like to tell us how that came about?

Enya: I met Krizzl at the Ed Sheeran concert and we were directly on the same wavelength. Especially because we both love and live dancing. She has also become a very good friend for me.

FIV: Oh, how nice! Since we’re on the topic of dance videos: do you prefer to shoot dance challenges on TikTok or do you prefer to come up with your own choreographies and why?

Enya: It always depends on the day and the mood. I love to do both, but I think challenges connect us as people and dancers. You can even do some of them together, with friends or family.

TikTok Production: Perfectionism & Desperation

FIV: Now we would like to talk about the production of your TikToks. What does the production of a TikTok dance video look like for you, when you come up with a choreography yourself? And how long does the whole process take from your own choreography to the editing of the TikTok?

Enya: Hours… I usually save the dances that I find cool, for example, and try to learn them first. When I have them down reasonably well, I put on something cool and off I go. I pay a lot of attention to quality and sometimes I’m too perfectionistic and sometimes I despair when things don’t work out. But I never give up. I really enjoy it. I can let out all my negative energy while dancing and afterwards I feel so much better.

Biggest challenge: pressure at dance battle

FIV: And fun, of course, is also the most important thing. What has been the biggest challenge you have faced since you started dancing?

Enya: When I was at a dance battle, friends just signed me up there and then I had to dance against someone who was really very good. The pressure was extreme because the moment your part is, you’re the center of attention and you have to deliver. But it was a cool experience.

Enya’s advice for dance beginners: just do it!

FIV: What advice would you give to someone who wants to start dancing? How and where do you start? How do you find your own dance style?

Enya: I always say: just do it! It sounds so simple, but it is. By just doing, you learn best and most importantly you and discover your style.

FIV: Last but not least, we would like to talk about your own music. Some time ago you released your own album of songs. Can we possibly expect new music from you soon?

Enya: On 25.11 a feature with HBZ comes out. The song is called ‘Pokémon’ and goes in the techno/EDM direction.

FIV: Which song that you released do you personally like the most and why?

Enya: Definitely ‘girl’. That was the beginning of everything and that was the coolest and most beautiful time in my life. I was really happy at that time and that’s why I associate it with something very good.
