Supermodel from the slums: Milicia’s journey from slum to fashion icon – Story!

I have to share the story of Maleesha Kharwa with you! The BBC mini-documentary is only 4 minutes long, so I’ve written out the story a little more for you! Germany’s Next Topmodel with Heidi Klum is on right now. Few models are discovered in TV shows, but quite by chance, as rough diamonds on the street. Here you can also find an interview with Stephan Czaja about model scouting in New York. This story is a little more blatant, because Milicia comes from the slums and is becoming a real fashion icon. Who is Milicias? The beginning of an extraordinary career

It was a day like any other when an American tourist (Robert Hoffmann) discovered Milicia by chance on the street.

This moment, captured in a video, became the turning point in Milicia’s life. The video not only showed her natural talent, but also inspired her to boldly pursue her dream: To become a supermodel!

With the support of thousands of online followers, Milicia plucked up the courage to contact a well-known photographer and ask for help. The photographer, impressed by Milicia’s determination and charisma, agreed to create a portfolio for her free of charge. This was the first step on Milicia’s unexpected journey into the world of fashion.

Living under difficult conditions
