Losing weight with Mounjaro: 14 kg less in 4 months – real experience with the GLP-1 drug
GLP-1 drugs such as Mounjaro or Ozempic are currently regarded as a silent revolution in the field of weight loss. But what’s really behind it? nadinexrei shares her personal weight loss journey on YouTube in a video lasting over ten minutes: 14 kilograms in just four months – without a traditional diet, without constant hunger, but with medical support. Here you can find her most important experiences, dosages, successes and challenges in a compact overview. Of course, I also have her video for you – I’ll embed it directly below.
What is Mounjaro – and why does it work?
Mounjaro (usually known as“weight loss injection“) belongs to the group of GLP-1 receptor agonists and was originally developed for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Today it is increasingly used for weight loss. The effect: the drug reduces the feeling of hunger and specifically influences the reward system in the brain. With nadinexrei, this effect was already evident after just a few days – in particular, the so-called “food noise”, i.e. the constant thoughts about food, disappeared.
“Food noise”: the underestimated trigger
In the video, she impressively describes how much she was burdened by thoughts of eating before the treatment: constantly thinking about snacks, sweets and the next meal. With Mounjaro, this inner urge became quieter – a state she had never experienced before.
“I could suddenly stand in the kitchen and forget why I was actually there – because the urge to eat was simply no longer there.”

The complete video of Nadin:
Dosage, effect and development
Treatment began with the lowest dose of 2.5 mg, which was well tolerated in the first month. This was then increased to 5 mg – and the effect intensified noticeably. Currently, after three months with 5 mg, she describes getting used to it: the effect wears off a little, snacks become more interesting again. She is therefore planning the next step: an increase to 7.5 mg.
- Start: 2.5 mg for 4 weeks
- Increase: 5 mg for 3 months
- Next step: 7.5 mg from month 5
Successes and side effects at a glance
Within four months, she lost 14 kilograms – without any significant side effects. There was no nausea, digestive problems or exhaustion. Her portions became smaller, the feeling of fullness came earlier and emotional snacking diminished.
Advantages according to own statement
- Early feeling of satiety
- Fewer food cravings
- Emotional control when eating
- No food cravings when shopping
Point of criticism: the high costs
One big issue is the price. In Austria, where she lives, the 5 mg dose costs around €360 per month, and the 7.5 mg dose costs around €450. To save costs, she uses vials and only takes half the dose with an insulin syringe – so one vial lasts for two months.
“I simply divided it up for myself – and halved the price.”
Conclusion? A game changer for eating behavior and everyday life
According to this experience, Mounjaro can be a real turning point for people who have been struggling with weight and eating habits for years. Everyday life becomes easier, the pressure disappears and, over time, the motivation to eat and exercise more consciously also increases. The drug is not suitable for short-term diets – but it can be a medical aid for long-term change when other methods fail.
