Winter outfit inspirations
The days are getting shorter, the temperatures are falling, and so are the leaves. With giant steps the winter announces itself. It’s time to inspect the winter wardrobe or bring a breath of fresh air into the wardrobe with new clothes and accessories for the winter. Often, the existing wardrobe can be made winter-ready with a piece or two. Indispensable companions for the cold season are sweaters in a variety of designs.
Sweaters – cuddly, comfortable and fashionably up-to-date
In winter, sweaters can be worn solo, but also over a shirt or polo shirt. A simple, monochrome turtleneck sweater made of high-quality material such as cashmere or merino wool even enriches the business outfit, if the dress code in a company is less strict. It can be perfectly staged with a current, plain chino and a jacket. Sweaters in a coarse knit look, often with a cable knit pattern, have a rustic effect. They are perfect for leisure and can also replace a jacket when it is not so cold. Not to forget cardigans, which are often worn over shirts or T-shirts. An elegant cardigan can be worn over a matching business shirt for a business outfit and serve as a jacket substitute. Excellent combination partners are polo sweaters with a collar and button placket or short zipper. They can be worn with or without a shirt. A V-neck sweater looks best over a shirt.
The current colors of the winter
The colour palette for the coming winter is wide-ranging. Plain sweaters can be found in gray, various shades of brown or beige, but also in cool colors like blue or turquoise. Those who are brave and want to set accents opt for sweaters in yellow or cyclamen tones. Patterns are still in. They can also be a little restless and reminiscent of a 3D image. Stripes are not to be missed in the coming winter and appear more or less discreetly. Sweaters and cardigans are presented with longitudinal or horizontal stripes. An important trend are block stripes, partly with intarsia pattern.
The right pants for winter
While simple, straight chinos without pleats, cloth trousers or noble jeans enrich the business outfit, jeans in different cuts, colours and washes are indispensable for leisure fashion. This winter, jeans with thermal lining are in. If the legs are folded over, the often checkered lining comes into its own. Corduroy trousers with a second-hand look are also an important leisure trend this winter.
Jackets and coats
The parka is still a reliable companion in winter. With removable lining it is also suitable for spring and autumn. Trendy are parkas with removable hoods, some of which are trimmed with fake fur. Quilted jackets are comfortable and come in a variety of colours. Men who like it a little more elegant can opt for a trench coat made of wool fabric. This winter, the warmly lined leather jacket should not be missing in any wardrobe. It is mostly offered as a bomber or biker jacket in black or brown tones and is timelessly beautiful.
