Taylor Swift private jet: Bombardier Global 7500 – The Eras Tour in the air

Taylor Swift is the most tracked private jet user in the world – not by choice. The tracking account @TaylorSwiftJet has followed her Bombardier Global 7500 and the older Dassault Falcon 7X in real time for years, producing more COâ headlines than any other celebrity. Swift has learned to deal with the phenomenon. Her solution: buy SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) and fly anyway.

Two jets for the Eras Tour: Falcon 7X and Bombardier Global 7500

Swift officially owns two aircraft. The older one is a Dassault Falcon 7X, built in 2009 – range 11,000 km, space for 14 passengers, known for its characteristic three-engine fuselage. The newer and mainly used jet is a Bombardier Global 7500, built in 2022:

  • Range: 14,260 km (longest of all business jets, non-stop New York to Dubai possible)
  • Speed: Mach 0.925
  • Cabin: 4 separate living areas, private bedroom with double bed, bathroom with shower
  • Cabin length: 15.56 m
  • List price: 75-80 million dollars

CO₂ tracking and what’s behind it

In summer 2022, Yard Marketing’s environmental research team published an analysis: Swift had completed 170 private flights in the first half of 2022 – more than any other celebrity. Total emissions according to the analysis: 8,293 tons of CO₂. By comparison, the average person produces around 7 tons per year.

What the analysis does not take into account: Some of the flights were operated on behalf of Swift’s managers and business partners – not by Swift itself. And: Swift purchased a considerable number of SAF certificates for the Eras Tour. Whether this pays off is another discussion.

Why the Global 7500 is the logical jet for the Eras Tour

The Eras Tour is the highest-grossing concert tour of all time – over one billion dollars in revenue in 2023 alone. For an artist who commutes between Buenos Aires, Sydney and London, a jet with a range of 14,000 km is not an option, but a must.

The Bombardier Global 7500 connects Miami and London non-stop, Los Angeles and Tokyo without a refueling stop. The same principle, only more accessible, applies to flights within Europe: from Munich to Nice, from Düsseldorf to Cannes – bookable by private jet charter without membership.

Today, Swift’s jets are more than just transportation. They are a symbol of a cultural contradiction: an artist who communicates values such as inclusion and responsibility flies more than most. This makes her a projection screen for a society that has not yet found an answer to the question of how luxury and climate awareness go together.

If you want to know more about Swift’s jet history: FIV has already analyzed the Dassault Falcon 8X – Taylor’s older private jet series in detail. In a direct comparison of the female celebrity jets, Kim Kardashian’s Kim Air Gulfstream G650ER with cream-colored custom interior is at eye level – a different design, same category.
