Kosta Willims – Turning a hobby into a profession. This is something 33-year-old Kosta Williams would never have dreamed of. From a small Instagrammer who posts posts about fashion to an international model and professional in the field of fashion and lifestyle. Even the online mail order company Zalando won’t let this influencer get away from them and invites him and two of his long-time friends, Daniel Fuchs and Sandro Rasa, for a cooperation. Dream wedding and family home: family with wife & child
As a loving family man he takes care of his newly married wife and his first son who is already several months old. After Kosta and his wife, whose name is still not public, moved into their common house, they decided to have a child together. A few months ago his first child saw the light of day. As a small real family they now live in a cozy but modern family home with a beautiful garden in a quiet location near Remscheid. Before the birth of their first child, he asked her to marry him.
Their wedding was small and private, but no effort was spared to create a stunning and fairytale wedding. His wife appeared in a white A-line wedding dress, with straps and an intricately embroidered top. The bottom was white multi-layered tulle. In addition, she wore a discreet veil that ended with the tulle skirt. Konstantin himself wore a dark suit, with dark patent leather shoes, as well as a tie and a flower brooch made to match the bride’s bouquet. However, the two also had a civil ceremony, where he appears in a dark grey suit and she in a white sporty ankle length dress. To go with the look, she wears a loose ponytail and flat silver and gold shiny shoes.

During his growth in followers, he founded a fashion, beauty and lifestyle blog called “The Modern Man” with two of his friends and also Instagrammers and Youtubers, Daniel Fuchs and Sandro Rasa.
In the meantime, this was unfortunately sold and renamed. Fortunately, their fanbase remained and strengthen them in their new projects. Together with his old friends, Daniel and Sandro, he was cordially invited to a cooperation with the online mail order company Zalando. The three have created a joint collection, as well as conducted numerous interviews and written styling guides. The focus of the collection is sportswear and how it is becoming “socially acceptable”. The garments and accessories are in subtle and sporty colors and shapes, comfortable and flexible.
The three have set themselves the goal of creating an exciting every day look from individual purely sporty things. With the help of accessories they have achieved this with bravura. The collection consists only of sweatpants, hoodies, capies, sneakers and sporty casual jackets like bombers and denim jackets. Kosta’s career as a designer & blogger
A successful Instagram account, with over 732,000 followers, a Youtube Chanel on fashion and lifestyle, as well as his own men’s fashion brand “Forage”. Originally, it all stemmed from his passion. The passion for fashion. Through that, he eventually started posting on Instagram his outfits, mirror selfies at the time. He never thought much of it and didn’t have a specific goal other than sharing his outfits on the platform. Gradually, over the years, a larger and larger community has formed and Kosta has made the whole thing a bit more professional. From now on he shoots with a reflex camera and tries to produce better content.
That’s how it all started. The Youtube channel was added later. Last year, however, for the reason to offer people more added value on a platform where you can simply convey in video form easier and better. He started the fashion brand with Sandro & Daniel in 2018 and it was simply a dream they wanted to fulfill. Kosta himself never planned to be in the public eye. Kosta explains in the interview that he just always followed his passion, which eventually led him there.

After he liked the cooperation with Zalando so much, he decided to start his own fashion brand “Forage”. His promotion on Instagram and his vlogs on Youtube, where he takes his viewers behind the scenes, help him to sell out his first collection completely within a few hours. Even though the prices are in the middle price range, Kosta advertises good quality and durability of the pieces.
The reason why he founded his brand was that he was always missing something or didn’t like it in already existing companies. As a result, he founded the company “Forage” with three of his friends. They came up with the name by taking the first two letters of their last names and stringing them together. Fox, Rasa and Georgakis became Forage. Besides, all three of them always wanted to have their own fashion label. Designing a collection was always something very special for them.

After his first two collection was a great success, he decided to give promptly to the third collection. And his effort has paid off in full. A hit in the bull’s eye, as he says himself. The third collection, like the first two collections, was half sold out in just a few hours. This collection consisted mainly of creating comfortable yet stylish pieces that fit the current occasion. He himself describes his clothes as simple and timeless must-haves that can be worn whenever, wherever and should not be missing from any man’s wardrobe. Kosta sees every fashion trend as an extension of a basic concept. This means that every trend can be turned into something completely new with just a few accessories, even though it is basic first. The third collection is now online and this time it focuses a bit on coziness and oversized pieces, which is simply the best at this time.

FIV: A successful Instagram account with over 732,000 followers, a Youtube Chanel on fashion and lifestyle, and your own men’s fashion brand “Forage”, how did it come about? What was your motivation and did you always want to be in the public eye?
Kosta: Originally, everything arose from a passion. The passion for fashion. That’s how I started posting my outfits on Instagram, at that time still mirror selfies. I never thought much of it and didn’t have a “goal” other than sharing my outfits on the platform. Gradually, over the years, a larger and larger community has formed and I have operated the whole thing a little more professionally.

Kosta: You simply have to take time for yourself. Instagram (social media) is a 24/7 job that’s hard to just “take a vacation” from. I go to the gym at 6am to work out and just to clear my head a bit, plus I have normal office hours from 7am-3pm where I’m at work in our Düsseldorf office. The rest of the time I spend with my family to try and switch off. Of course, it never fails to post a story or upload a photo or something in between, but that’s just part of the job.
Fashion trends for men: tips & tricks
FIV: Our male readers are especially interested in which must-haves a man has to have in his wardrobe?
Kosta: For this summer definitely neutral shades and pastel colors.
FIV: Young girls and boys in particular only have their pocket money to go shopping with. As a designer and fashion expert, surely you can give our readers tips on how they can go shopping on a budget? Is that even possible?
Kosta: Watch my Youtube videos, I always give a lot of tips for shopping on a budget. I personally think that fashion does not always have to cost a lot, but quality is of course important. For basics I like to recommend: Uniqlo and for trends I recommend Zara, it’s mainstream but you can get everything that’s trendy for little money.
FIV: Beauty products are not only important for women. Men also pay attention to a well-groomed appearance. What are your 3 everyday products that you also take with you on your travels?
Kosta: I have a care set from Dr. Barbara Sturm, which is really mega good. In addition, I use a Matt Wax for my hair and my favorite fragrance Xerjoff Accento
FIV: We are happy to get to know your new fashion brand. “Forage” What does this name stand for? How was it for you to design the collection and where did you get your inspiration from?
Kosta: Foràge stands for Fox, Rasa, Georgakis. The 2 first letters of our last names gave us the idea. Designing a collection was always something very special, because you try to implement exactly what you are missing in other people’s clothes or clothes that you consume.
FIV: Is the third collection already in the starting blocks and what can your followers look forward to?
Kosta: The third collection is online by now and this time it focuses a bit on cozyness and oversized pieces, which are just mega important for a chill look in these times.
Summer outfit for man
FIV: Summer is just around the corner and everyone is planning their holidays. You’ve already seen quite a bit of the world and we’re interested to know which places were your favorite? Where can you relax and where can you leave the city life behind? Do you like to travel alone, rather with your family or friends?
Kosta: I prefer to travel with my wife. Actually, this summer would have been the first trip with our six-month-old child, but that is unfortunately somewhat difficult due to the current situation. The dreamiest place I’ve ever been are the Maldives. Just mega nice to relax. And the most exciting/beautiful holiday was South Africa, which I can only recommend to everyone.
