FIV Feature X CM Models

Sara Bow: The hobby became a profession

FIV: Hey Sara, you started blogging when you were only 14 years old, how did you come up with the idea at such a young age?

I had honestly just no desire to learn for school. While surfing the internet I came across the first American blogs and wanted to try it out for myself.

FIV: What topics did you start out blogging about, how have the topics changed so far?

In the beginning, I only posted my outfits. More precisely, in selfie mode in front of the mirror and then I made my face unrecognizable with paint. Nobody should recognize me! Today I work with a permanent photographer, Marina Scholze, and also blog a lot about cosmetics and private topics.

FIV: Meanwhile, you’re also a makeup artist and social media expert, how do you balance it all?

I work 7 days a week and really from morning till night. But when you love your job and enjoy it, it doesn’t feel so much like work.

FIV: Do you have a trick for stressful situations?

Just turn everything off for half an hour and treat yourself to a power nap. That helps me incredibly! Otherwise, the good old to-do list always helps me. When I have a thousand things on my mind – I take a moment and write down everything I need to do on a piece of paper. After that I have a better overview and go to work more effectively.

Fashion blogger Sara about Munich

FIV: To what extent does the city of Munich and its fashion scene inspire you?

The fashion scene rather less, otherwise I would probably be totally broke every month..but I love the buildings and the history behind Munich. If I can take a day off, I like to visit the galleries or museums.

FIV: Do you also have a special role model?

My mom! She is an absolute power woman!

FIV: What are your fashion favorites and your Munich fashion must haves?

Fashion favorites, like Munich fashion must haves are high quality classics for me. My black vintage Chanel for example. It’s timeless and simply chic. You can wear it during the day and in the evening – a great investment that I have not regretted.

FIV: As an expert, do you have a current or timeless beauty/styling tip for your readers?

Absolutely! Care! That is the be-all and end-all. No matter which lipstick, which eyeshadow colors or whatever – without a great base everything looks stupid. Get professional advice and invest more thought and money in the right care than in a new lip gloss.

FIV: How do you like the styling of the German women, especially in Munich?

I really like the Munich style for the most part. I could spend hours in a café and just watch the different fashion styles and people. You can really find the most different styles here (even if it’s not quite as extreme as in Berlin, for example).

FIV: What makes the Munich fashion style special?

I like the elegance and mix of great designer pieces best in Munich.

Sara’s heart belongs to Tokyo

FIV: Which city is your favorite fashion city and why?

I lost my heart in Tokyo. I’ve really travelled a lot of the world, but nowhere have the people fascinated me more than there! The people dare to do something, don’t emulate any style – but develop their own. You can find the most creative outfit combinations there.

FIV: And last but not least: What are your next steps and future plans?

In the future, of course, I want to continue building my companies. I want to inspire and motivate people to make their dreams come true. Nothing is impossible – as long as you fight and work for it!

FIV:Thank you very much for the interview Sara!
