Create your own shoes-Simple DIY’s
Old or boring shoes are easy to put on. Designing shoes yourself without it looking like a handicraft accident is not that difficult. Just pick out a pair of shoes from your shoe cemetery (the last corner of your closet) and off you go.
Gift ribbon as shoelace – you don’t have to buy new ones all the time #1
The easiest way to give your old and boring shoes a new polish is to change the laces. Shoelaces are available in any shape and colour. With patterns and without patterns, in neon or plain. Never mind! If you don’t feel like buying yourself new shoelaces, take a look in your handicraft closet. There you can certainly find one or the other gift ribbon, which can be converted into a shoelace, so your shoe gets an even more unusual look and becomes something completely new.
Rivets are again in trend this year #2
No, of course we don’t mean the rivets that you constantly pull at the fair, because with this technique you have anything but lost. Rivets are super easy to attach and make your shoe look fresh and unusual. Rivets are available in gold or silver but also in many other colours. In pointed or flat form. You can either attach them to only a few places, for example once around the shoe over the sole or in front on the cap of the shoe. Or you dare to embroider your whole shoe with rivets, how cool is that? Combined with some casual clothes you will rock the street the next time you go out.
Instagram is teeming with golden details #3
You can often see it in Instagram. Everything is currently only decorated with gold spray. Be it the new shelf from IKEA or the legs of your dressing table or the edges of the mirror. Goldspray simply pimps on every piece of furniture and gives it an elegant look. Then why not your shoes, too? Just make a stencil out of paper and spray. Whether small flowers or simply different patterns. Goldspray makes your shoe something very special. And if gold is not your thing, of course there is silver or many other colours.
needle and thread – padges don’t just go on trousers and jackets #4
A well known method is classic sewing, buy cool padges or just use needle and thread and design a completely new shoe!
Glitzer always goes #5
I never think glitter goes out of style. Again, you can either use a spray or textile glue and loose glitter. For example, you can cut out cool templates with wacky patterns and just sparkle off.
