What is a social club in Spain?

A social club is a private association in which members can legally consume cannabis. Access is usually only possible via recommendation – you register on site and are then accepted as a member. The whole thing is in a legal gray area in Spain, but is tolerated in many regions. Particularly important: consumption must take place within the club. Public consumption is still prohibited. Diego’s passion: Golf and how it all began

The sport of golf finds its official beginning in the 16th century. Official because before it was authorized by the Scottish King James IV, it was played by the Scottish society as a form of pastime without any special records. Even when golf was banned by Parliament in 1457, royal permission was granted. Why the ban? Because it was seen as a distraction for soldiers shooting arrows and more people would be involved in the military. The Scottish population played golf despite the ban, and the sport, like soccer, became a fashionable sport in the independent nations of the time. Thus, the modern sport was invented by the Scots before the year 1500 and legalized at a later date. The first game of golf was practiced in 1574 on the Old Course at St. Andrews. The story continued to develop in the 16th century. Through Mary I of Stuart, the sport came to France and then spread around the world.

But a different origin?

However, there are other theories that see the origin of golf in continental Europe. The Netherlands and France are often mentioned. The reason for this is various documentation from the years around 1200, where there are references to games with clubs and balls. There are also such references in ancient Egypt and ancient Rome. New chapter in life: Jolina’s emigration to Mallorca

FIV: Hello Jolina, we are glad that it worked out with the interview today. You have a lot going on right now, because you just emigrated to Mallorca with your boyfriend. How are you doing at the moment and have you been able to settle in a bit in your new home in this short time?

Jolina: Hello, thank you very much for the nice interview. I’m really doing very very well at the moment, the last few months have been very intense and exhausting due to all the planning with the emigration. Of course, this must be well thought out and considered. A few days ago, our things from Germany have arrived in Mallorca and it is getting more and more comfortable in our new home. Therefore, we are now settling in faster and faster and it is becoming more and more beautiful.

That’s why Jolina and her boyfriend moved to Mallorca!

FIV: Has emigrating always been a dream of yours and what inspired you to do so?

Jolina: If someone had asked me a few years ago if I could imagine living somewhere else than in Hamburg, I would probably have answered no. When I met and fell in love with my boyfriend Dominik Bruntner about 2 1/2 years ago, I moved to Stuttgart after a 3-month relationship with him. Since we both have the same job and have always been on the road a lot, we thought about emigrating more intensively and finally decided to take this step. Thanks to our job, we can work from anywhere and we wanted to take advantage of this opportunity.

In Mallorca the model has found her new home

FIV: You currently live in Mallorca, could you imagine living in another country for a while? Apart from Mallorca, which place would be particularly appealing to you?

Jolina: As a model, I have been to many countries, even for a few months at a time. I think we found our home in Mallorca. But for modeling I would go again for several months in another country. But only together with my boyfriend. Which is of course also possible, since we both work as models. We have some countries in mind in which we would like to spend a longer time, if the opportunity arises.

FIV: Of course, you have to completely refurnish your home in Mallorca. Do you have any tips for our readers on what to look out for so that the interior design looks cozy and harmonious?

Jolina: I like it bright with subtle colors. I stay in the beige and pink tones. Beautiful green plants also belong for me in every room.

GNTM Highlight: Entry into the final!

FIV: You now work successfuly as a model and are active in social media. However, many still know you from the 9th season of GNTM. Which experiences from your GNTM do you still remember fondly today?

Jolina: I generally remember my GNTM time super fondly, it simply remains unforgettable. I can still remember the pick-up quite clearly. Thomas Hayo suddenly stood in the classroom and told me I was in, pack your bags and off to Berlin. But the best experience is definitely my entry into the final and of course the final itself. Even though I only came second in the end and didn’t win the show, the whole project was simply wonderful and unforgettable. I still drive my Opel Adam, which I won in the show, and I like to think back to that time.

Jolina’s tips for aspiring models

FIV: Soon the new season of GNTM will start, what tips do you have for the aspiring candidates?

Jolina: Just stay the way you are. Don’t pretend and concentrate on the essentials. Quarrels have no place on the set.

FIV: As a successful model, what would you say are 5 qualities you need for a successful modeling career?

• Definitely self-confidence.
• Self-employment.
• You have to be able to deal with criticism, being a model is not always easy.
• Don’t be afraid of change, you’re often thrown in at the deep end and need to know how to handle the situation.
• Discipline. Your body is your capital, so must be very careful about it.

This is what the model has planned for 2022!

FIV: Finally, a short look into the future, we are curious what you have planned in the near future: Do you have big plans like a move or something similar or is there something special coming up? Give us a little teaser of what your fans and followers can look forward to in the near future!

Jolina: I won’t be moving again so quickly. But there are some cool projects coming up in the new year, but I don’t want to give too much away yet. Stay tuned and be curious.

Relationship, Travel, Home – News from Nina’s life

FIV: Hey Nina! We are happy to welcome you for a follow up interview! Travel and faraway countries are your world and we would love to dive into that world with you in this interview. But first, let’s start with a little review. Three years have passed since the last interview with our magazine. Give us a little insight: What was your personal highlight of these last 3 years?

Nina: Thank you so much for asking me again for the interview! I’m totally looking forward to the report, it was super, super nice last time. My highlights of the last few years…I can’t really generalize that much. There were a lot of great moments. Everything has somehow remained the same, I’m still together with my boyfriend, which makes me very happy and that for almost 9 years now. That is already a huge highlight for me, to be able to say that after the 3 years now again or still say. Among other things, I was able to travel a lot with him in 2019 and I also traveled quite a lot on my own, which was an absolute highlight, including the trip to Tokyo. I totally fell in love with that city! That was actually already one of the highlights of 2019. But overall, it’s a big highlight that I get to travel so much. I don’t think I’ve ever traveled so much in my life. From Dubai to Tokyo to Bali so really just criss-crossing back and forth across the world. That was my absolute highlight and I think I will never forget this year.

Then 2020 there was actually also a highlight, of which actually no one knows what, then I can drop it times at the point. I bought a property here in Oberembt with Dean, which is a huge highlight for me because it means that we will settle down together even if we don’t get married or have children, that is of course a nice big step for me that I feel absolutely ready for and yes that happened in 2020, in return we couldn’t travel much. And because we couldn’t travel, that’s kind of the counterpart where I would have thought I kind of still need time for that, but kind of after traveling so much in 2019, it was nice to be here for a change. Our hands were kind of tied and bang there has been an opportunity and since we of course directly grabbed. That was with the biggest highlight in the last 3 years.

A fresh start with a new course of study – “Best decision ever”.

FIV: A few years ago you changed your direction, finished your architecture studies and started to study management in the field of marketing and digital media. Are you still satisfied with your choice of study and how far are you with your studies?

Nina: That’s right, I dropped out of my architecture studies, which was the best decision I ever made! The second study, where I’m actually in the last semester now, I’ve pulled through and I’m having an incredible amount of fun! The subject matter I’m dealing with there is one on one with what I’m doing now with Instagram as well. It’s kind of totally interesting to see what it’s like behind the scenes. So not just doing Instagram, but also how it all works and why it works that way and that’s helping me a lot.

I think I will definitely stay in the industry. I’m curious to see what will happen at some point. As of now, I don’t even know what I’m going to do afterwards. I enjoyed it so much, I will probably do a master’s degree. Let’s see what time brings.

Secret of happiness: time with family and friends

FIV: Whether you’re traveling or at home, it doesn’t matter if it’s an absolute dream location or your own private bedroom. When you get up in the morning, what makes you happy?

Nina: Actually, I think you can guess after the last interview that I know that I just have such a great family. That I have the best friends. That I know that they’re there. I don’t know, I’m happy when I know: Tonight it’s going to my parents or it’s going to friends.

I look forward to shopping with my grandpa alone. If you follow me on Instagram a little longer, you know we make our shopping trip every week. I’m thankful to still be able to do everything with him. Since he almost went blind, it’s even more beautiful to see how grateful a person can be. Yes, that is actually the most beautiful thing for me. When I wake up in the morning to know that I have my loved ones around me. No matter if they are my friends or my family. That’s just amazing!

Majorca dreams and charity plans in Africa

FIV: As we know, your heart is set on Mallorca, you even wanted to emigrate there at some point. What is the current status? Do you still want to spend the next few years in Germany?

Nina: The plans to emigrate to Mallorca just stay! I think that’s a dream we’ll fulfill someday when we’re older. We have a little bucket list, Dean and me. We have already said to ourselves that if we achieve everything we want to achieve in Germany, then comes the house in Mallorca or a small Finka or if it’s just a caravan somewhere in the wilderness of Mallorca. Then that would be cool that we can always go there.

But as already said in the first question: We have now bought a beautiful piece of land here, which is really dreamlike and there is now the priority first to build on it, to create our own home. We are super lucky with the property, because it is directly in the village where we live now. It’s right next to Dean’s parents, Dean’s aunt and a lot of friends live here. You actually know the whole village from us and it’s just so perfect. It’s like a storybook for me from us because I know even if I stay here for the next 30 years: I have everyone around me as long as my parents still move here and my grandpa but I will still manage that.

FIV: The last time you spoke to us you expressed the wish to travel to South Africa and start a charity campaign there. Have you pursued this idea in the meantime and is it still on your to-do list?

Nina: That was always a big wish of mine and it still remains! It’s not finished yet either. In fact, this year I would have had a great opportunity to travel to Uganda and support a great organization there. Corona threw a huge spanner in the works and unfortunately it couldn’t be done, but I hope something like that will come up in 2021 or 2022, I’m definitely open to anything!

Bali, Mauritius, Japan & Co. – Future destinations

FIV: You’ve already ticked off Tokyo, Bali and New York on your travel list. Which countries and cities would you like to visit soon?

Nina: I think I could talk about it for three hours now, because the list is almost endless, because for me travelling is simply the most beautiful thing in the world. So I love being here, I also need my homepoint, but it’s also nice to immerse myself in different cultures. That’s why I could talk for 100 years about the next destinations where I absolutely want to go. But on top of my priority list is definitely to explore Japan a bit more! I’ve only been to Tokyo so far and there are so many incredibly cool places! For example, there are places like Okinawa: It looks like the Caribbean, parts of Okinawa or Nagano, you can just ski and look at snow piles.

There are so many corners of Japan I’m dying to see and that’s definitely one of my next travel goals to pursue. And otherwise yes Bali is also back on top of my bucket list. I don’t know, I just miss that. That was just such a beautiful experience.

Then we had planned for this year actually also Mauritius. We have booked everything…yes unfortunately has not taken place. There I would also like to go again in any case. So, these are the three destinations: I would like to do in 2021, if it should finally go times.

It is now almost ten years since the Spanish economic crisis and its impact on the economic situation. For the real estate market, this means for the time being that prices will rise in the long term. Legal formalities for the purchase of real estate

As the EU states have not yet been able to agree on a uniform set of laws governing the purchase of property in other European countries, buyers of a Mallorcan property must abide by Spanish legislation. For the correct handling of the purchase of a new property it is therefore a sensible idea to commission an estate agent. This ideally has its own office in Mallorca, so that the advice and assistance with the formalities can take place directly on the spot. If they have in-depth knowledge and experience of the local property market, they will also be able to answer questions about price trends and the market value of the property.

A special feature in Spain: Foreign property buyers first need an identification number from the police authority, which is a prerequisite for the competent tax office to issue a tax number. This in turn is entered in the land register. As in Germany, the purchase of real estate must be certified by a notary. What buyers should definitely take into account is the seven percent tax on the purchase price, which the Spanish tax authorities collect after every property purchase.

Kim is Topmodel 2016 and wins the 11th season

Five Topmodel finalists were still in the race for the title, the model contract and the cover of Cosmopolitian. Many speculated who would win the cover, including us in the Topmodel Social Media Check. But in the end Kim stood on the Cosmopolitian, in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, between hundreds of fans, VIPs, the jury and the cameras. She thus wins the model contract worth 200,000 euros for which they all fought. Fata, Elena, Jasmin and Taynara are out – Kim is the beaming winner 2016. Until Sunday we are still busy editing video footage, sorting pictures, texts and emotions. We were there backstage and have collected exciting interviews for you. From Lovelyn Enebechi (GNTM winner 2013), Vanessa Fuchs (GNTM winner 2015) and from model Alexander Keem, better known as “Honey”. On Instagram, on the other hand, Elena (19, Hamburg) scores with 244,986 followers (as of this Thursday, May 10). Fata and Elena are the contenders for the cover on Thursday evening on Pro7. Both are on Thomas Hayo’s team and have been fighting for victory since episode 1. On Thursday, the jury around Heidi Klum will decide which of the top models will win!

The top models have traveled a lot this season, from Berlin to Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, LA, Miami, Milan, Madrid, New York, L.A., Sydney and back to LA. The last stop will be in Palma de Mallorca. There, the grand finale and the announcement of the 2016 winner will take place at the venerable Coliseo Balear. Heidi Klum, Thomas Hayo and star designer Michael Michalsky will appear in front of the camera together as the jury for the last time this season. To performances, among others by Jay Sean ft. Sean Paul with the song “Maky My Love Go”. Of course, there are also many tasks for the future top model on 12.05. in Mallorca. Michael Michalsky: “To be successful as a model in the long run, you have to have more to offer than the perfect measurements and a beautiful face.” But after her trip around the world it should be no problem for the winner and the other models to master this last task.

Jasmin (20, Vorarlberg): “I’m looking forward to Jay Sean and Sean Paul.”

What was your highlight of the season? “That was Australia. I’ve always wanted to go there. The people and the environment were sensational, the shoots were mega.”
What would you do with the winner’s prize? “100,000 euros is a lot of money. I’d donate some of it.” What are you looking forward to in the final? “I’m most looking forward to performing with Jay Sean and Sean Paul. That will be my highlight in the final.”

What the GNTM jury says about top model Jasmin

The judges’ assessment: Michael Michalsky: “Jasmin is ‘The Body’. I’m a big fan of hers. She is a very great young woman.” Thomas Hayo: “Jasmin is like a statue: she has the perfect measurements, the perfect body and is beautiful. She has a lot of fire and is a strong personality – that will help her extremely in the international model business. She’s also a bit of a tease, but that’s not necessarily a disadvantage these days. From the basic requirements Jasmin is a top model, who I can imagine very well in New York. For one thing, the people there will love her and for another, she can assert herself there.”

Kim (20, Bad Homburg): “Leonardo DiCaprio was my highlight. “

What was your highlight of the season? “My highlight was the amfAR gala in New York. It was the most jaw-dropping night I’ve experienced so far. It was a glimpse into a world you could get into if you made it as a model. Seeing Heidi in private and meeting Leonardo DiCaprio was definitely a highlight.” What would you do with the winner’s prize? “I want to do something good for my mum.” What are you looking forward to finale? “I’m mega excited that my family and closest friends will be there. Apart from the fact that it’s going to be a super nice live event with great music, great artists and great outfits, the nicest thing is that my family will get to experience it first hand.”

Michael Michalsky Thomas Hayo about Topmodel Kim

The judges’ assessment: Michael Michalsky: “For me, Kim is the cool blonde with icon status. We will see a lot more of her, she has a great career ahead of her.” Thomas Hayo: “Kim is solid and hardworking. She’s a girl you can rely on 100%. She has found herself on our journey and has become much cooler. On the one hand visually through the makeover, but also in terms of personality. You can tell she’s changed her life. Kim has changed incredibly before our eyes. The Kim that came to us and the Kim that’s in the finale are almost two completely different people to me.”

Elena (19, Hamburg) says of herself ” I am a thrifty person.”

What was your highlight of the season? “My season highlight was the amfAR gala with Heidi. Not only because it put us in the public eye in a different way than we normally do on ‘Germany ́s next Topmodel,’ but also because we got to see a whole different side of Heidi.” What would you do with the winner’s prize? “I’m an extreme money saver. I can see myself saving it, investing it, or investing it.” What are you looking forward to finals? “I’m most looking forward to that adrenaline rush when I go on stage with my four girls. You know in that moment, it’s live and your family is there – I look forward to that feeling.”

She has acting talent and in front of the camera Elena is extremely changeable and that’s more important than ever in today’s world.”

Taynara (19, Stadtlohn): “I’m looking forward to the ‘All Eyes On You’ moment.”

What was your highlight of the season? “My personal season highlight was the moment when my dad came on the show as a surprise visitor. You missed your family, you were homesick, and suddenly someone from home comes and that was an indescribable moment and the most beautiful gift Heidi could give us. That was the most beautiful and meaningful moment of the season for me.” What would you do with the winner’s prize? “I don’t have a special wish. I have family in Brazil who are not doing so well financially. I would like to support them and also give something back to my parents.” What are you looking forward to finals? “I’m insanely looking forward to the opening. To that moment when you walk out, your family is there and it’s ‘all eyes on you’-it’s going to be such a great moment.”

Michael Michalsky: “Taynara is our season sunshine. She always puts us in a good mood and is super ambitious. You can’t help but love her.” Thomas Hayo: “Taynara is a girl who captivates you because she is so insanely lovable. She can win you over with a simple smile. She has a talent for movement and knows exactly how to put on a show. Taynara has every movement right down to her fingertips – that’s an important aspect in the modeling business.”

Fata (21, Berlin): “I want to buy my mother a fitted kitchen.”

What was your highlight of the season? “My personal season highlight was making it to the finals. That was a very emotional moment for me.” What would you do with the winner’s prize? “I would buy my mum a fitted kitchen. Also important for me, I definitely want to keep working and not rest on the money. I want to make it as a model.” What are you looking forward to finale? “Just because of the big audience, I’m looking forward to the finale. There will be a lot of famous guests and music acts, it’s live, the family is sitting there, there are a lot of ‘special effects’. I’m looking forward to us as a group putting on another really awesome final walk.”

Michael Michalsky: “There were many highlights. For example, when my Kim got the Opel job or Fred came onto the catwalk with her lucky pants in the opening show and shouted her fight mantra at the top of her lungs. But really, the entire season was one highlight for me. I had great fun working with Heidi, Thomas and the team. And the candidates were also an incredible enrichment for me, because I was entrusted with eleven daughters overnight, so to speak. And that for six months. I was able to learn a lot.”

Thomas Hayo on his highlight of the eleventh #GNTM season: “My personal highlight was the semi-final, when all four models from Team Thomas really made it to the final. That made me incredibly happy.
