Fête de la Musique – Berlin celebrates

The Fête de la Musique begins on 21 June in all twelve districts to coincide with the start of summer. On this day it is allowed to welcome the summer everywhere from 16 o’clock to 22 o’clock with street music. This invention from France has been celebrated annually in Berlin since 1995. Laymen and professionals of all musical styles are invited to present their skills to the public free of charge and without pay. Fête de la Musique does not have to end at 10 pm. Nearly 30 locations offer music into the night: Many clubs, cafés, bars and pubs, which already start in the afternoon, continue the program after 10 pm indoor, including the Yaam, Cassiopeia or the Gretchen. In addition there are pure night stages like the Junction Bar, the Tresor Club, Ritter Butzke, Blackland, Mein Haus am See, Musik & Frieden, Burg Schnabel, Wabe or the Old CCCP Bar.

Open Air Gallery – Art for Everyone

At the Open Air Gallery, a broad spectrum of works can be seen, ranging from Pop Art and Surrealism to realistic and experimental modern works. Art finds its way through painting, graphics, photography, collages, printing, sculptures, small sculptures. The Open Air Gallery is intended to provide a forum for everyone to talk about this versatile art. In addition to the exhibited works of art, a 120m long canvas will be laid out on the floor in the middle of the Oberbaumbrücke bridge, which will be painted by everyone.

Streetfood Festival Berlin 2019 – This will be delicious

Like every year, delicious streetfood festivals take place this year. When the delicious trend will start this year is not yet certain, but we will let you know soon enough. At the Streetfood Festival there are culinary masterpieces from all over the world, which brings the different cultures closer together. Lollapalooza 2019 – It’s starting again

What is a summer without a festival? The Lollapooza Festival will also take place in Berlin this year. The headliners for 2018 were The Weeknd, Kraftwerk 3D, Imagine Dragons and The National. Also at the start were Casper, K.I.Z, Liam Gallagher, David Guetta, Dua Lipa, Kygo, Freundeskreis, Ben Howard, Armin Van Buuren, Rag’n’Bone Man, Years & Years, Ferg, Trettmann, Lewis Capaldi, RAF Camora & Bonez MC, Von Wegen Lisbeth, The Wombats and Jorja Smith and Showtek. This indicates that another exciting line up is planned for 2019. We are looking forward to learn with whom we can celebrate this year.

Vegan Summer Festival 2019 – Life without animal products

Also in 2019 hundreds of vegans and not vegans meet again at Alexanderplatz to inform themselves about the way of life without animal products. In recent years, plant-based living has become more and more attractive for more and more people. At the Vegan Summer Festival, visitors can purchase vegan products and experience a varied programme for three days at around 100 information and sales stands. Initiatives as well as nature and animal welfare organisations provide information on topics relevant to animal welfare, healthy nutrition and vegan lifestyle. In addition to international delicacies and vegan organic and raw food specialities, Alexanderplatz also offers animal-free cosmetics, T-shirts and leather-free products and accessories such as belts and shoes. Music, cooking shows and a children’s programme complete the summer festival. The exact date is not known at the moment, but we will inform you as soon as we have information.

Dance in August

In August there is music, dancing and of course celebration. In the middle of the month, youth symphony orchestras from all over the world meet for the Young Euro Classic and all beer lovers look forward to the beer festival on the famous Karl-Marx-Allee. Tanz im August”, the Berlin Festival for Contemporary Dance, traditionally brings together the friends of international dance theatre. Big and small are welcome, food and drinks are provided there and so you can celebrate into August. Of course, there is also a wide range of vegetarian and vegan alternatives to eating.
