Shayaa Joseph, alias 21 Savage, founded the hip hop crew Slaughtergang in Atlanta together with his friend Lotto Savage. In the middle of the 2010s both began with solo releases. Joseph started in 2014 with the single Picky and in the following year two mixtapes with the titles The Slaughter Tape and Slaughter King followed. In addition, the 7-track EP Free Guwop was released together with DJ and producer Sonny Digital.
