Her designs are loud, edgy, intensely colorful – and never arbitrary. She uses fashion as a medium to show attitude, take a stand and break with convention. Berlin Mitte. The air vibrated as you entered the room – dominated by a 30-meter-wide screen that opened with a powerful video intro. Elegant, almost like Chanel, but with that typical Ruétz signature: powerful, clear, feminine. The designer once again showed what she stands for – and has done for over ten years. “My looks should convey power without shouting loudly,” she said backstage. And that’s exactly what you could feel in every outfit.

The collection was stylish, modern and yet wearable – a tribute to self-confident women. Flowing fabrics, accentuated shoulders, rich colors. This is fashion as it should be: strong and with soul.

Rebekka Ruétz – Power meets Color

Born in Tyrol, she founded her eponymous label in 2009 and has been a fixture at Berlin Fashion Week ever since. Her shows are energetic, her designs always a little exaggerated – but that’s exactly what makes them so exciting. Tuesday is the big kick-off for ABOUT YOU Fashion Week, in the evening at 9pm.

We were there an extra hour before to look at the ABOUT YOU Fashion Week Village. A whole 15,000 m² area with various booths, fashion, styling, but also snacks, drinks, all you need, with ABOUT YOU. While you wait patiently at other fashion shows, here everyone was already dancing. Already at 8 pm the Village was one club and really everyone had extremely fun – unusual for the first show of Fashion Week. We are excited to see what is still to come! Stella McCartney, Lena Gercke, Leni Klum, Hugo Boss, are just a few of the dates that are in store for us in the coming days thanks to ABOUT YOU.

Guido Maria Kretschmer is not only a German fashion designer, but also a TV presenter and juror, for example in the show Shopping Queen.

His design career began with a small stand with self-sewn clothes at the famous hippie market in Ibiza, where he was discovered by Udo Lindenberg. His first orders were thus followed by the creation of his own brand and company. Initially, he worked mainly on behalf of large companies and created primarily uniforms for airlines and hotel chains.

With the creation of a new label, he set his focus on evening wear for women. This was also followed by the first fashion shows in Tokyo and Shanghai, and later in Berlin. He also started to develop costumes for various theater and film productions.

From Lascana we had already reported a few weeks earlier, still from the Berlin Fashion Week. About You has chosen this label for its brand selection not for nothing.

Adidas is an international German sporting goods manufacturer whose fame could not be greater. From clothing to cosmetics, it has it all. As a major supplier of famous athletes, sports teams and international sporting events, the brand became known. The company can be recognized by the three famous stripes or the logo with the three leaves, which is supposed to symbolize the Olympic spirit.

British designer Stella McCartney founded her eponymous fashion company in 2001, which today represents boutiques worldwide and sells high-priced clothing, shoes, handbags, accessories and perfumes in upscale retail.
