For star lovers, the Nature Park Nossentiner/Schwinzer Heath brings the stars to light. Low population density and the resulting weak light pollution allow an amazing view of the night sky. At 10 star observation sites, which deal with various astronomical topics, the Milky Way can be experienced up close, something that would never be possible in big cities. A visit is especially worthwhile from late July to mid-August – shooting stars rain from the sky at a rate of minutes.

The Star Park is located in the Mecklenburg Lake District in the federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

From Schwerin, you can reach the Star Park in about an hour by car.

In the Stargazing Park of the Mecklenburg Lake District, you can not only see the Milky Way, but also the Orion Nebula and distant planets.
