Swimming under the starry sky – Tip 2

The Nature Park Nossentiner / Schwinzer Heide brings the stars to light. Low population and the resulting weak light pollution allow for a breathtaking view of the night sky. At 10 star observation sites, which deal with various astronomical topics, the Milky Way can be experienced up close, something that would never be possible in big cities. A visit is especially worthwhile from late July to mid-August – star showers rain from the sky here at minute intervals.

Adrenaline kick desired? Starting in April, the summer sled track Malchow opens its gates. The sled track, 800 meters long, runs through the Buchenwald down into the valley. You’ll also find the world’s smallest sheep breed, the Quessant sheep.
