Nadinezofia in the interview – Fashion is Nadine’s great passion. She discovered it already in her childhood, when she saw her mother’s wardrobe and her high heels. Fashion and Self-Confidence

In the interview with Nadine, we talk about fashion sins and trends. Because of her passion for fashion, she owns a lot of clothes, which makes it hard for her to get rid of items from her wardrobe. She tells us about her favorite clothes, which pieces should never be missing from the wardrobe and where she buys them. Moreover, she shares with us where she gets inspired for her outfits and how she has learned not to listen to others’ opinions and to stick to her own thing.

With Mamas Highheels into the Fashion World

FIV: Hello dear Nadine, how nice that the interview worked out today. On your social media channels, it’s immediately clear that fashion is a big topic for you. Therefore, we would like to know from you first whether you were already fashion-oriented in your childhood or did that come with time?

Nadine: Fashion has definitely been part of my life since childhood. In the past, I always used my mom’s wardrobe and put together all kinds of outfits and, of course, also wore her high heels. I always wanted to present every outfit I had put together myself to my mom, and thus she was always allowed to watch a fashion show from me in the evening. Back then, I would have loved to spend every weekend shopping with my mom and I could never get enough of it.

Trends? Rather Basic Clothes

FIV: Most people know it. Trends from the past, which today you think are an absolute no-go. Have you also followed a trend that you now consider a fashion sin? And if so, which one was it?

Nadine: There isn’t really one single trend that I consider a fashion sin, but rather the weird color combinations I used to wear. Back then, I couldn’t really mess up much because I mostly wore very basic clothes, as I didn’t dare to try anything extraordinary. However, two years ago, I finally dared to wear things that I really liked, even if they might not have appealed to others. I learned not to let other people’s opinions affect me, and that is the best attitude you can have. I now feel much more comfortable with my style and am definitely more confident.

Decluttering the Wardrobe? No, Thanks!

FIV: Occasionally, decluttering your wardrobe should also be on the agenda. What’s your system for decluttering your wardrobe?

Nadine: Decluttering my wardrobe is actually very difficult for me because I can’t easily part with my clothes. Even if I never wear something, the thought remains in my head that I absolutely have to keep it because I might need it someday, and thus everything piles up very quickly. Recently, however, my dressing room was so overcrowded that I finally managed to sort out some items. I also took my followers on TikTok along for the ride, which ultimately gave me the motivation to declutter.

The Perfect Jeans: Nadine’s Favorite

FIV: Since we’re talking about decluttering the wardrobe, is there an item of clothing you can’t part with and why?

Nadine: There’s a pair of jeans I just can’t part with because it was my first real pair of jeans. I used to only wear leggings with a jeans look before, and when I went to Topshop for the first time, I found the perfect jeans and fell in love immediately. It’s a boyfriend jeans with holes at the knees, and no matter how worn out they are, I’ve always worn them again and again. Even today, they’re still hanging in my closet and will stay there for a while.

Nadine’s Signature: Her Sunglasses

FIV: After you’ve sorted through your wardrobe, what absolutely must not be missing and why?

Nadine: There must absolutely be no basics in my wardrobe, because, as the name suggests, they are the foundation of a perfect outfit. No matter how many basics I already have, I can never have enough of them. A piece of clothing or accessory that must never be missing is my sunglasses, because no matter how sunny or cloudy it is outside, I always include my sunglasses in my ideal outfit. They have already become a kind of trademark for me.

Pinterest – The Best App for Inspiration

FIV: When it comes to fashion, are there people or even role models that inspire you and keep you up to date with what’s currently trending?

Nadine: I get a lot of inspiration from Pinterest because there are simply countless outfit combinations to find there. When I need an outfit for a specific occasion, Pinterest is the first app I open. But Pinterest isn’t the only source of inspiration for me – I also get inspired by fashion videos on TikTok. For example, I love the fashion videos from @millanefriesen.

Top 3 Shopping Stores: Bershka, Zara, …

FIV: When you’re out in the city shopping, which three stores should be on your shopping list?

Nadine: When I’m shopping, I definitely have to go to Bershka, it’s my absolute favorite store. I always find really nice pants there that I like and I would love to buy everything. Second on the list is Zara, where I could spend hours. However, I’ve become more of a fan of online shopping lately, as I think it’s much more organized and convenient and I find a lot more there. So I put Stradivarius on my shopping list third, I like to order there very much. Only too bad that there’s still no Stradivarius store in Germany.

Model and creating your own fashion collection

FIV: Finally, I would be very interested to know if there is still a dream of yours that you would like to fulfill?

Nadine: There are actually two things that I immediately think of. As I already mentioned, I used to love showing my mom a fashion show and I often pretended in my room that I was a Model and had to walk a runway. It has always been my dream to walk on a real runway and I have not given up hope that I will fulfill this dream someday. If someone had asked me before what I wanted to be someday, one of my answers was always fashion designer, so the second dream of mine would be to create my own fashion collection.

FIV: That sounds exciting! Thank you for your time and the great interview!
