BUZIGAHILL x Fashion Week 2025: Upcycling meets urban stories from Uganda

BUZIGAHILL is no ordinary fashion brand – it is a global art project with origins in Uganda and an impact in Berlin. Founded by the multidisciplinary artist Bobby Kolade, BUZIGAHILL stands for a radical change of perspective: away from Western second-hand overproduction and towards African self-determination in design, production and aesthetics. Every collection is political, every piece a statement against global injustice. Back to Berlin Fashion Week 2025.

BUZIGAHILL – Uganda on the Berlin asphalt

At the heart of BUZIGAHILL is the upcycling of second-hand clothing that originally came from Europe and was exported to Africa. These items are collected in Uganda, reinterpreted and turned into exclusive one-off pieces – with the iconic “RETURN TO SENDER” label. This means that the clothing is returning to Europe – not as old clothes, but as high-quality, political fashion.

BUZIGAHILL combines African craftsmanship with Berlin street style. The cuts are bold, the fabrics speak volumes and the message is clear: fashion is never neutral. Whether shirts with print statements, patchwork jackets or reworks of old vests – every piece carries history within it. And passes it on to the people who wear it.

Who wears BUZIGAHILL?

People who want more than style. Activists, artists, fashion journalists and anyone who wants to make a statement with their clothes. BUZIGAHILL is for those who understand global connections – and still don’t want to compromise on style. For wearers with attitude and foresight.

Why does BUZIGAHILL inspire?

Because the label breaks boundaries – geographically, aesthetically, ethically. Because it shows that fashion can bring about change. And because it proves that re-importing can be a new form of value creation, not only economically but also artistically. BUZIGAHILL is loud, uncomfortable, inspiring – just like the times we live in.

  • Upcycling with a political message
  • Design meets social responsibility
  • Uganda & Berlin in a unique fusion
  • Each piece is unique with attitude
  • For all those who use fashion as a language
