Breitling Superocean Heritage: Design, Features and Price
As a chronograph specialist, Breitling has played an essential role in technical development. For example, the company invented two independent pushers and is part of the exclusive circle of watchmakers who own their own chronograph movements. The various high-performance in-house calibers are equipped with useful and user-friendly functions, such as pioneering dual time zone and universal time systems. To meet the absolute quality standard of mechanical movements, Breitling has equipped all electronic models with SuperQuartz™ movements ten times more accurate than a standard quartz.
To obtain the coveted designation of officially certified chronometer, the movement must meet seven extremely strict selection criteria. For example, the average daily rate deviation must not exceed the value of -4/+6, which equates to a rate accuracy of 99.99%. Only 5% of all watches made in Switzerland are certified chronometers.
Timeless Design and Forward-thinking Concept
Breitling has innovated in the production of its chronograph movements, drawing inspiration from a forward-thinking concept used in other high-end segments.
