Passion: Gaming and Streaming
In this interview, Lafi talks to us about her passion for gaming and streaming. She also tells us about her first game, her first gaming console, and her favorite games, which include Valorant for PC and Clash Of Clans. It all started with her brothers, who got her into gaming. This sparked her passion, and when she began using Musical.ly (now TikTok) in 2018 and her community continued to grow, she became a streamer on Twitch. She reveals to us how she prepares for a stream and shares streaming tips for girls who want to get started.
Lafis Favorites: Valorant and Clash Of Clans
FIV: Hello Lafi, we’re glad you took the time for this interview! On your social media channels, you mainly focus on streaming and gaming. Which game do you like to play the most and why?
Lafi: Streaming and gaming are my passion. Right now, I like to play Valorant on the PC the most. It’s a shooter game that is very well animated and designed. The players and the different game modes make the game diverse. The Competitive Mode gives me the motivation to keep improving, which led to the desire to play every day. On the smartphone, it’s Clash Of Clans. In this game, I can develop strategies with my community and fight against other clans as a clan. A great casual game!
Lafi’s first game: Monster Hunter Tri
FIV: Since gaming is your passion, have you already played games since childhood and if so, which game was it?
Lafi: I started playing games as a child because my two older brothers got me and my twin sister to play with them. Fortunately! The first game I played for a very long time was Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii. In this game, you become the strongest hunter by killing monsters with friends to get the best armor and weapons.
No trips without a Game Boy Advance SP
FIV: Since we’re already talking about the first game, what was your first gaming console and why?
Lafi: I used to play on my brothers’ consoles (PlayStation 1, Game Boy Color, GameCube and Nintendo 64), but my first console of my own was a Game Boy Advance SP (Mario Edition). With this, I could always play on the go, for example during long car trips.

Streaming: It all started with Musical.ly
FIV: A good way to pass the time on long drives. What inspired you back then to start streaming?
Lafi: I started in 2018 with Musical.ly (now TikTok), where I posted gaming clips that reached many people. This community that formed around it wanted to play games live with me and inspired me to start streaming on Twitch. Year after year, my community grew and gave me the strength to continue until today!
Preparation and Nervousness Before a Stream
FIV: Really cool that you have such a connection to your community! Of course, a stream also requires the right preparation. How do you prepare for a stream?
Lafi: To prepare, I always spend about an hour. During that time, I check if I need to make any updates and open all necessary programs (streaming software, music, bot programs). Additionally, I do my makeup and get dressed appropriately.
FIV: When you stream, many people watch who you don’t know. Are you sometimes nervous before a stream, considering that so many people are watching you live, and what helps you with that?
Lafi: At the beginning, I was always very nervous, but by now I’ve gotten used to the routine and no longer have any hesitation about streaming. I don’t look at the number of viewers and imagine that the viewers are my friends.
Streaming Tips: Don’t Think Too Much!
FIV: Do you have tips for girls who would like to stream but don’t dare to?
Lafi: Don’t worry so much! Especially at the beginning, when there won’t be much going on. Don’t pay attention to how many people are watching. Feel comfortable no matter how you look. Watch YouTube tutorials if you’re unsure about various settings. No one will scold you for making mistakes, because, as you know, you have to make mistakes in order to learn.
Lafi’s worst trait: Introversion
FIV: Since you’re standing in front of the camera so much, we’re interested in what kind of person you are behind the camera. What is your best and worst trait?
Lafi: Actually, I’m very introverted behind the camera, even though I appear very extroverted in the stream. It’s hard for me to maintain social contacts or to approach people and meet up with them. It’s very rare that I do anything, because outside of streams I’m mostly just playing games on the PC. And when I’m not at home, I miss my PC or gaming! Otherwise, I’m pretty much the same as I am in front of the camera.

Sleeping, gaming, snacking: The perfect Sunday
FIV: We have one more question for you: What does your perfect Sunday look like if you don’t spend time on social media?
Lafi: My perfect Sunday would first of all be sleeping in and getting up without any obligations. Then gaming all day and snacking in the meantime. Then ending the rest of the evening with an anime.
