Many celebrities buy their first jet as soon as it is financially viable. Rihanna is different: despite her billion-dollar fortune, she does not have her own jet but prefers premium charters. The reasons:

Firstly: flexibility. Charter allows you to choose the optimum jet depending on the route – a G650 for Atlantic routes, a Citation X for short trips within Europe. Secondly: no operating costs. An own G650 costs between 3 and 5 million dollars per year to operate (crew, maintenance, hangar, insurance). Thirdly: No tracking. The Met Gala 2023 was held in honor of the late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld under the theme “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”. The event, often referred to as the “Super Bowl” or “Oscars of Fashion,” was held as usual on the first Monday in May (the night of May 1 to May 2) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Who was Karl Lagerfeld?

FIV: Hello Liliana, how nice that it worked out with the interview today. You took part in the 16th season of GNTM this year and have been working successfuly as a model ever since. How has your life changed since you took part in GNTM?

Liliana: First of all, I am very grateful for my time on GNTM! It has brought me further as a person and I could grow mentally as well as psychologically. Also, I managed to come out of myself and I was able to realize my potential and last but not least, it gave me friends for life.

FIV: Do you have fond memories of your time on GNTM and are you still in contact with the other contestants?

Liliana: I always remember the GNTM time with the girls! I even lived with Larissa in Berlin right after the show! Larissa and I always like to reminisce and talk about the good times! I finally found my own apartment at 21. My award is right above the TV and I am very proud! With Marriah I always FaceTime because she is never at home and always traveling! Otherwise, we always see each other when she visits Berlin!

FIV: You are very successful as a model and have already had a shoot for Nylon Magazine and have also walked at Fashion Week. Is there a designer or brand you would like to model for one day?

Liliana: Before GNTM I always said Rihanna’s brand “Savage X Fenty”! And thank God this year I finally worked with both of Riri’s brands! Both “Savage X Fenty” and “Fenty Beauty.” For this year, I have a lot of brands in mind that I would love to work with! I would say my favorites are definitely Team Wang, Jacquemus or Bottega Venetta! Cause we are dreaming and working hard big this year!

FIV: For many of your followers you are a role model. Do you have a role model yourself, especially in the modeling business or in the fashion world, who inspires you?

Liliana: I definitely have people that inspire me and that I admire, but because I used to misunderstand and misinterpret the definition of “role model”, I’m still searching to understand what a role model is or how to be a role model and I’m trying to be a role model for myself first.

FIV: You are in the public eye and are active on social media as a social media personality. How great is the pressure in the business to always be “perfect”? What is the best way to deal with it?

Liliana: I’m not a big social media person myself! I post and I’m out again!

Liliana: I always try to remind myself that the real world is outside and social media is social media! It’s important to find the balance so you don’t lose yourself in it!

Fashion: Liliana’s cool style

FIV: Many people love you for your cool style. Where do you get inspiration for your looks?

If you ask me something about my style, I would say it depends on how I feel! My style depends on my mood! My style is never predictable! Some people think that I am a girly girly, or should be! I say FUCK DAT! Why should I choose only one style when I can do all! I would describe myself as a “girly tomboy”! My style is the representation of myself, where I grew up, who I am and how I was raised! I am a Nigerian who was born in Italy, raised in Nigeria, live in Germany and speak Korean. ITS THE DIVERSITY FOR ME! Even if you can’t speak or advocate for yourself, let your outfit speak for you. Some days I rock an outfit and some high heels! Other days I’m your man crush cause I’m a lil sus! That’s the beauty of fashion: you can be who you want to be, when you want to be, and how you want to be.
