The new video is entitled &#8220;We need to talk&#8221; and that&#8217;s exactly what he does: he talks. About debt, about homelessness, about the downfall of a man who was worth over a million euros in his prime and slept on a friend&#8217;s sofa in 2025. Anyone who knows Kevin knows that when he talks, it&#8217;s honest. That has always been his trademark &#8211; and obviously also the reason why he still has a platform at all.</p>
<h2>Who is <a href="https://www.instagram.com/kevin_wolter/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Kevin Wolter</a>? Origin, childhood and the path to sport</h2>
<p>Kevin Wolter was born in Berlin in 1987. His father was a bodybuilder and ran his own gym &#8211; the foundation stone for Kevin. Overweight at the age of ten, he took up martial arts after his parents separated. Three years later he is slim. Then comes strength training. He spends afternoons at his father&#8217;s gym, learning technique, nutrition and progression.</p>
<p>This is the origin of a man who will later earn millions on YouTube with precisely this knowledge: What he initially learns from family circumstances becomes his brand. IFBB amateur bodybuilder, competitive sport, and then &#8211; at some point &#8211; a microphone and a camera.</p>

<h2>The rise: Hardgainer Crew, his own channel and the fitness millionaire</h2>
<p>In 2016, Kevin joined the &#8220;Hardgainer Crew&#8221; &#8211; a YouTube collective that was relevant in German fitness YouTube at the time. He left the project in 2017. Not in a dispute, but with a vision: he wanted to go his own way. The &#8220;Kevin Wolter&#8221; channel was relaunched in 2018.</p>
<p>What follows is one of the more remarkable rises in German fitness content:</p>
<ul>
<li>500,000 YouTube subscribers in just a few years</li>
<li>Over 210,000 Instagram followers at the peak</li>
<li>Individual videos with 3 to 5 million views</li>
<li>Sponsorship deals with NeoSupps and Smilodox &#8211; six-figure annual revenues</li>
<li>Own fitness programs, boot camps, consulting</li>
<li>Foundation of &#8220;Kevin Wolter Film und Medien GmbH&#8221;</li>
</ul>
<p>What set Kevin apart from others was that he spoke openly about performance-enhancing drugs in the sport of bodybuilding. At a time when this was still taboo in the scene. That made him polarizing &#8211; and therefore interesting. His honesty was not a concept that he had developed. It was just the way he was.</p>
<p>In 2020, Kevin Wolter is wealthy on paper. Several million in his bank account, his own company, deals, reach. Then the descent begins.</p>
<h2>The crash: insolvency, 500,000 euros in crypto losses and homelessness</h2>
<p>The crash has several causes &#8211; none is decisive on its own, but together they are devastating.</p>
<p>Firstly: Views are collapsing. In 2021, clicks are falling noticeably, sponsorship deals are getting worse, new platforms (TikTok, Instagram Reels) are changing consumer behavior. Kevin is not adapting fast enough.</p>
<p>Secondly, the investments. He loses around 500,000 euros in cryptocurrencies &#8211; timing in the bear market, risky positions. In addition, he invests several hundred thousand euros in a failed large-scale real estate project. He lends money to acquaintances who then break off contact.</p>
<p>Thirdly, the expenses continue. A lifestyle that was based on a six-figure income is met with declining income.</p>
<p>In 2022, Kevin Wolter Film und Medien GmbH files for insolvency. The mountain of debt: around 250,000 euros. Everything sold &#8211; house, cars, watches. At the end of 2024, beginning of 2025, Kevin sleeps on a friend&#8217;s sofa.</p>
<p>In February 2025, he makes it public: &#8220;I am homeless.&#8221;</p>

<h2>Celebrities under palm trees, marketing jobs and the empty job afterwards</h2>
<p>What happens after the public confession? A surprising amount. Kevin receives job offers. He works at a social media marketing agency for about six months. Not a dream job, but stability. The job is terminated at the end of 2025.</p>
<p>At the same time, he takes part in the fourth season of &#8220;Promis unter Palmen &#8211; Für Geld mache ich alles!&#8221; on Sat.1. Prize money: 50,000 euros. It&#8217;s a striking contrast for a man who was a millionaire in 2020 &#8211; but Kevin makes no secret of it. He needs the money. He says so.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s the Kevin Wolter way.</p>

<h2>What Kevin Wolter&#8217;s story about YouTube success really says</h2>
<p>There are many stories of YouTubers who climb to the million mark and then fall. Most of them simply disappear. Kevin reappears &#8211; not because he has a PR strategy, but because he always avoids the same mistake: silence.</p>
<p>At his best, he talked openly about doping. At his worst, he talked openly about homelessness. That is a consistency that is rare. And probably the reason why his community hasn&#8217;t gone away.</p>
<p>Bodybuilding, sport and personal development &#8211; that&#8217;s nothing new at FIV. <a href="/?cat_ID=1889">Celebrities</a> with exciting CVs and little whitewashing regularly end up here. Kevin Wolter fits into this category not despite his story, but because of it.</p>

<p>Jacky Wruck took the plunge in her career by winning the 15th season of GNTM, and with great success, as she was able to turn this dream into a sustainable career. As a content creator on Instagram, she shares her beautiful snapshots as well as insights into her everyday life, including her sports and skiing routine, but also how she is passionate about animal welfare and spends time with her own horses. In the interview, Jacky tells us more about her life in the public eye, tips for anyone dreaming of becoming a model and her TV appearance in high diving.</p>

<h2>GNTM, acting and the modeling world</h2>
<p>FIV: Tell me Jacky, when did you actually realize that you wanted to become a model, or was it always your dream? Was it a moment or a development over the years?</p>
<p>Jacky: It&#8217;s been a dream of mine to be in front of the camera professionally for as long as I can remember.</p>
<p>I always loved fashion as a child, getting changed four times a day, standing in front of every camera or experimenting with nail polish. In fact, being in front of the camera was always a bit more my thing than the catwalk, which I nevertheless learned to love.</p>
<p>And then it was up to me: at the end of my youth, would I dare to pursue the courageous dream or go down the path of working with animals, which also had its great appeal. But for now, I wanted and still want to be brave and try something that some people advise against.</p>
<p>FIV: GNTM was a decisive stage in your life &#8211; tell me, what&#8217;s Heidi like behind the scenes, did you have much contact with her?</p>
<p>Jacky: We had regular contact with Heidi, but not all the time or &#8220;a lot&#8221;. Nevertheless, I had the opportunity to get to know Heidi. As a person and not just as a model and entertainer.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s nice to realize every time that we are all cut from a similar cloth. We all have this place that shapes our private lives. Heidi placed a lot of emphasis on this. She had often mentioned that it was important to protect your private life and spend as much time as possible with your loved ones. To be there. To exist as a person and not just as a public figure.</p>
<p>FIV: Is there anything that surprised you in the real fashion world or that you didn&#8217;t expect during your time on GNTM?</p>
<p>Jacky: Nothing really surprised me. I was mentally prepared for a few things, but it&#8217;s still something completely different when you experience everything live. This statement refers to both the good and the bad sides of the industry.</p>
<p>FIV: You have also ventured into the world of acting &#8211; how is that similar to modeling, if you can compare it at all?</p>
<p>Jacky: There are parallels, but the differences definitely outweigh the differences. Acting is a completely different craft and explores different artistic themes. A very exciting topic, if you ask me.</p>

<h2>High diving experiences &#038; veterinary practice memories</h2>
<p>FIV: You were also recently seen on the RTL high diving competition &#8211; how did you like that?</p>
<p>Jacky: I love challenges, learning new skills and meeting new people whose stories inspire me. The high dive was one of those extreme experiences. I would have liked to have presented other jumps, but life is only sometimes a concert of wishes. I really surpassed myself during this time and am already looking forward to the next challenges.</p>
<p>FIV: Do you miss the time when you worked at your parents&#8217; veterinary practice and if so, what?</p>
<p>Jacky: No, I don&#8217;t miss that time. Sometimes I look back melancholically on the time when I wasn&#8217;t in the public eye, because the pressure &#8211; which I naturally put on myself &#8211; didn&#8217;t exist in that way. I am grateful for the experiences I had in this important profession as a veterinary assistant, but I am currently experiencing a different phase of my life &#8211; for which I am just as grateful in a different way.</p>

<p>Tara: Uh, I listen to a lot of different genres, but my handbag would definitely be accompanied by a gentle yet powerful piano piece that exudes elegance and sophistication. Maybe something by Ludovico Einaudi.</p>

<p>Tara: Neither and for me the story behind each piece is the focus. Although I take the price into account, the quality and design is more important to me than the price. <p>FIV: In our eyes, you are a real doer &#8211; constantly fulfilling dreams and achieving goals. What would you say are essential aspects that contribute to this &#8220;doer mentality&#8221; and how can I embrace them?</p>
<p>Tim: First of all, thank you for the kind words! I have always been someone who does not let chances and opportunities lie. No matter how small it still is. So in my life I have gained the mentality to keep my curiosity and just take away from past experiences that these small opportunities give me a huge added value. Trying bread baking and getting better every time, that now I can make the best bread for ourselves in the shortest time. Or handicraft things, getting to grips with something and now I can fix all the problems myself without having to rely on others. That encourages you not to stop at any challenge, no matter how big it may be.</p>

<p>FIV: How important is discipline and structure for you &#8211; is every day always planned out or do you just let yourself drift? &#8211; How do you manage to find a healthy work-life balance and avoid overwork?</p>
<p>Tim: The balance and especially the routine is the key. My day starts at 6 a.m. with my workouts, which give me a perfect start to the day. Extreme order and not leaving any task too long to clear my head for any new challenge. I also try to find fun or enjoyment in any work or effort so it just doesn&#8217;t feel like &#8220;work&#8221; but another mini-milestone completed. I&#8217;m passionate about gaming and I often just compare it like quests. Checking off my main quest in my life storyline and doing the exciting side quests every now and then to increase my experience!</p>
<h2>Formulate goals: Gather experience &#038; learn from mistakes</h2>
<p>FIV: Tell us &#8211; How do you go about setting your goal(s) to make sure they are realistic and achievable?</p>
<p>Tim: In the past, I also wasted a lot of time dealing with things that didn&#8217;t really get me anywhere. But that&#8217;s part of it, so that over time I can evaluate much better what&#8217;s important and what&#8217;s not. That&#8217;s part of becoming a doer, to always become the best version of yourself. You can&#8217;t dismiss this process either, because it&#8217;s only through experience that you get better and better and so you can define your goals much better.</p>
<p>FIV: How do you deal with setbacks, especially when, despite your best efforts to be productive, you don&#8217;t get the results you want at the end of the day?</p>
<p>Tim: Happened very often! Without these setbacks, we would never be where we are today. Learning from mistakes and really internalizing them is the most important thing. Analyzing and reflecting is super important and in the end it&#8217;s also fun, because the next time you make a decision you just know what you did wrong before and you can always improve and also be a role model for others or give sound advice.</p>

<p>FIV: House building, travel planning, van extension, family planning, podcast &amp; co. &#8211; How do you manage to tackle so many topics at the same time and not neglect the overview or even the love behind it?</p>
<p>Tim: Quite clearly: teamwork and absolute structure. My wife Ana and I are perfectly synchronized with each other. Especially when it comes to our work, we are now always of one mind and can rely on each other. As I just said, these things are such great life stages and tanks that it&#8217;s fun, after a planning, then tackle the implementation and when you look back on what you&#8217;ve done, is the pride that always pushes you to tackle new!</p>

<p>Tim: My friends and family are absolutely sacred to me. My closest friends I&#8217;ve had for many, many years and my overriding credo is, as Drake once said &#8220;I been tryna change life around for everyone I know &#8216;Cause if I don&#8217;t share the wealth then how the f*** we supposed to grow?&#8221; I always try to grow with my friends and so there is an incredible growing together and so private life is just completely in balance.</p>

<p>FIV: Do you have any advice for someone who just doesn&#8217;t achieve their goals, even though they work hard and are always disciplined?</p>
<p>Tim: Time is the key word here. Many years went by before we had the right moment. Part of this process is to keep developing and, above all, not to stop at one point. No matter how good you are, there is always room for improvement. No matter if it is the nutrition, contacts you make, chances you take. Sometimes even supposed 1-2 steps back mean 5 steps forward.</p>
<h2>Maximize productivity: What apps does Tim use?</h2>
<p>FIV: What are some tools and techniques you use to maximize your work time and increase productivity?</p>
<p>Tim: I organize myself completely with my daily apps TickTick and Trello. I use Trello to give my projects a horizon and to mature ideas, and I use TickTick to put plans into action and check them off. The more things left undone, the more stressed I am, so it&#8217;s a good day when I&#8217;ve been able to check off a lot of boxes!</p>

<p>FIV: Do you find it difficult to hand over tasks or do you like to accept help from others? What is your attitude towards the subject?</p>
<p>Tim: It used to be absolute hell for me. In the meantime, I have learned that there is no other way and that it is incredibly important and also works very well. To give people the chance to grow as well and to make our lives a lot easier, of course, so that the focus can be directed to other things.</p>
<h2>Dealing with overwhelm: Tim&#8217;s experiences</h2>
<p>FIV: Let&#8217;s be honest &#8211; are you also sometimes overwhelmed?</p>
<p>Tim: The answer here is the same: in the past, yes. Today, I&#8217;ve become more hardened through all these years and I&#8217;m much better at dealing with stress and, most importantly, being in control of the situation. The doer mentality is a big part of me and helps me to overcome any challenge, no matter how insurmountable, and to go to sleep with a relaxed mind.</p>
<h2>Future outlook: New projects at the Johnsons?</h2>
<p>FIV: Finally, a little look into the future. Are there any new ideas or projects coming up at the Johnsons that you&#8217;d like to share with us?</p>
<p>Tim: Oh yes! We&#8217;ve got some incredibly big projects coming up again this year that our communities are waiting for, and on top of that our biggest dream is coming true this year, and that&#8217;s to become parents. I&#8217;m just more excited than anything to finally become a dad and that will be my absolute biggest task in life, which I take very seriously. I want to become the best dad our child can imagine and there is still a lot to learn and do!</p>

<h2>From Backpacking to Model: Fabian&#8217;s Story</h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">FIV: Hello Fabian! Perhaps you could introduce yourself very briefly in your own words so that our readers can get an impression of you. Who are you and what makes you and your brand special?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Fabian: My name is Fabian Arnold, I am 26 years old and come from near Cologne. After my dual studies as a businessman for insurance and finance in Cologne, I spent a year abroad in Australia, more precisely in Sydney, as a backpacker. There I was discovered as a model and started modeling in the fashion sector. Since then, I&#8217;ve lived in cities like Singapore, Milan, London and Berlin, which also led me to work as an influencer on social media.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">After meeting with a modeling agency in Los Angeles in 2019, my dream of moving to Los Angeles came true. I was able to fulfill this dream after the pandemic in 2022 when I received a visa. Since 2022, I have also turned to acting and have already made two films. This year I have two more films coming up.</span></p>

<h3>Own business inspired by Greek mythology</h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, I was thinking in Germany what else I could do besides modeling and acting. Since I have always been interested in Greek mythology and personally have not found any underwear for men that met my needs and also had more to offer in design, I decided to start my own brand. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">My goal was to create the <hiddenlink href="https://fivmagazine.de/boxershorts-fuer-herren-finde-den-passenden-style/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-type="post" data-origin="de" data-origin-url="/?p=178199">best underpants for men</hiddenlink>. Our USP (Unique Selling Proposition) is clearly our design, not just our brand name. We also rely on innovative technologies like the double bottom to prevent holes between the legs, a reinforced support for a round silhouette and a fitted cut in the front to emphasize masculinity.</span></p>
<h2>The dream of Los Angeles</h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">FIV: What inspired you to move from Germany to Los Angeles to further your career?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Fabian: Since I more or less started my career abroad, I had little contact with the industry in Germany. In Germany, everything is very narrow-minded and everyone fights for themselves, so I don&#8217;t really get along with the social politics. I wanted to think bigger and go further out, and Los Angeles is of course the right place to play a role in the global market. Here, it wasn&#8217;t enough for me to be successful only in Germany. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I was eager to inspire and reach people all over the world. Since I already had my mother agency in Los Angeles, I had of course already laid the foundation to gain a foothold in Los Angeles. Another point is of course my physical disposition. Since the German model market is strongly focused on fashion and rather slim male models, I have better chances on the American market, especially in Los Angeles, because of my physique.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Also for acting, I could always identify better with the English language in films than making films in German and portraying characters.</span></p>
<h3>Living in Los Angeles: advantages and challenges</h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">FIV: What challenges did you face starting your career in Los Angeles and how did you handle them?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Fabian: Since I had already lived in Los Angeles in 2019, I knew what I was getting into and also already knew people on site. So I was not completely alone here. Los Angeles is a huge city with many artists and people who want to realize their dreams and come here to make a career. So it&#8217;s incredibly easy to quickly meet a lot of people who are also working in the industry and make a lot of connections through that. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">However, it&#8217;s difficult to build real, deep relationships because everything is very fast-paced. All people come to Los Angeles to further their careers. That&#8217;s definitely also the biggest danger and risk, that you lose yourself in partying and superficial relationships and don&#8217;t find a stable footing.</span></p>
<h3>How much does it cost to live in America?</h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In addition, the housing market in Los Angeles is extremely expensive. It is almost twice as expensive as in Germany, to find cheap maintenance and cheap apartments is almost impossible. Therefore, you have to reckon with about 2500 € per month just to get a single room. Food in the supermarket is also much more expensive than in Germany. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Therefore, one has to reckon with monthly costs of 4000 to 5000 €. Taking the step to Los Angeles is definitely not easy, especially if you are just trying to start your career. I would recommend everyone to start their career first and then, if it is going well, dare to take the step to America, otherwise it can break your neck.</span></p>

<h2>&#8220;Sex Sells&#8221;: Important for your career?</h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">FIV: What differences have you noticed between the German and US entertainment industries in terms of acting and modeling?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Fabian: Since I don&#8217;t have much experience in the acting industry in Germany yet, I can&#8217;t say much about the difference between acting in Germany and in America. But I can imagine that the difference is that in America people always think bigger and approach projects much more ambitiously than in Germany, for example. In Germany, there are also not so many investors who invest a lot of money. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As far as modeling and the entire entertainment industry is concerned, the motto in the U.S. is &#8220;sex sells,&#8221; and that&#8217;s also the biggest difference from the German industry. As a German, you are always taught to have values and to do the right thing. In America, it&#8217;s often just about doing good marketing to be perceived as a unique person and to become successful. People will do anything for that, like Kim Kardashian&#8217;s sex tape. She did it and now no one cares what she did in the past to become famous. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In Germany, something like that would simply not be possible. So you could say that in America you have greater opportunities by asserting yourself. In Germany, there is a very traditional hierarchy that you have to overcome first.</span></p>
<h2>Development of Fabian&#8217;s personal style</h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">FIV: How would you describe your personal style? Are there any trends or styles that you follow?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Fabian: It&#8217;s always difficult to describe your own style. Especially because I&#8217;ve been active in modeling and social media for six years, I&#8217;ve gone through different phases. In the beginning I worked as a Hollister and Abercrombie &amp; Fitch model, with long surfer hair and often topless with Calvin Klein underpants. At some point, that time was over and I wanted to evolve so I wasn&#8217;t just the typical &#8220;Cute Boy&#8221;, so I got more and more into the technology of cameras and video cameras.</span></p>
<h3>Own production company and role models</h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As a result, I started my own production company, <a href="https://www.fxamedia.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">FXA Media GmbH.</a></span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">With my production company, I focused more on the commercial market and developed short films, motivational quotes, thought-provoking content and other formats on my own social media channels. In modeling, I&#8217;ve always tried to model myself after Nick Bateman, Zac Efron or Channing Tatum, who I looked up to when I was younger. In terms of acting and my current acting skills, I would say that I could pass for a German version of Channing Tatum or even a Jake Gyllenhaal. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I love doing comedy, but of course I also love doing deep dramas. Of course, since my last name is Arnold, I&#8217;ve always looked up to Arnold Schwarzenegger as a role model and would like to work with him in a movie one day. It&#8217;s time for Arnold 2.0 to take off in LA. I do my best for that every day, with acting classes, scene study and everything that goes with it, including stunt training.</span></p>
<h2>From Billboard in LA to projects with Dior, Gucci and more.</h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">FIV: What projects have made you most proud in terms of your career?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Fabian: Relatively high on my list is definitely the global campaign for Aussiebum, which I shot in Australia in 2018. The photo was then presented as a huge billboard on Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles. When I was in Los Angeles for a few months in 2019, it was an indescribable feeling to see myself on a billboard in Los Angeles. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Besides this project, of course, I had many other projects with brands like Dior, Versace, Gucci, Cartier and MCM. Overall, it&#8217;s been an incredible journey with a lot of great things happening that you can&#8217;t boil down to one specific project. I&#8217;m just incredibly grateful for all these opportunities to meet so many interesting people and put myself out there.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">FIV: What advice would you give to young people who want to pursue a career in acting or modeling?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Fabian: One thing must be clear to anyone who aspires to a career as an artist: It&#8217;s a very, very long road, with many ups and downs. Often you feel like you don&#8217;t want to do it anymore and you don&#8217;t even know why you&#8217;re doing it at all. You have to work hard every day, because somewhere in the world there is always someone who can do it better, looks better and has more skills. You have to use every free second to improve yourself, develop yourself, read books and be present on social media. Even if you want to work as a fashion model, social media is now essential and you have to perform well there.</span></p>
<h3>Own network and a clear vision</h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Nowadays, acting and the modern market is much more than just about the talent itself. You also have to deal a lot with marketing and building your own network. You have to be aware that it will be a hard road and you have to persevere. However, you shouldn&#8217;t be discouraged by people badmouthing you. There will always be people who criticize. </span></p>
<blockquote><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You should take the positive out of it, either by recognizing that they are envious of what you have already accomplished, or by accepting the criticism and thinking about how you can improve your work.</span></p></blockquote>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">However, it is also important not to give too much weight to every criticism. Sometimes you have to stick to your own ideology and ideas and work on them. Having a clear vision is essential in any case.</span></p>
<h2>Through experience to entrepreneurship</h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">FIV: How has your experience as a model, influencer, and actor influenced your approach to entrepreneurship and starting your brand?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Fabian: Through my extensive behind-the-scenes experience with various fashion brands and my dual studies as a business administrator for insurance and finance with a focus on marketing and sales, I was already able to learn a lot about the entrepreneurship of fashion brands. My main goal was to create something that doesn&#8217;t exist in this world yet, instead of being just another street style brand for apparel. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In addition, I knew from my knowledge of influencer marketing that only brands with the highest quality and positive word-of-mouth effect can be successful. Since I can&#8217;t compete with brands like H&amp;M or Zara without investors and a big budget, the focus of my brand is on quality and attention.</span></p>
<h3>&#8220;You can always connect the dots in your life&#8221;.</h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Through my contacts in different fields and my own skills, I tried to work out the strengths and shape the brand around those strengths. As a male model and with many contacts with photographers, I knew I wanted to create a high quality designer brand to capitalize on the strengths of photographers and my model friends. Since I also know many magazines, my goal was to place editorials in these magazines. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Everything you learn in life you can apply in some way, and that&#8217;s also something I&#8217;d like to pass on. Even through my dual studies as a business administrator for insurance and finance, which has nothing to do with the fashion world or a new fashion company, I learned basic skills like creating Excel spreadsheets, conducting business negotiations, or understanding marketing and sales, as Steve Jobs once said: &#8220;You can always connect the dots in your life.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Through my work in acting, I have of course also met many actors and personalities who can act as brand ambassadors for my brand. So I try to take advantage of all the areas that my contacts offer.</span></p>
<h2>Nereus: A brand that conveys strength</h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">FIV: What are the most important values or messages you want to convey with your brand?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Fabian: The name of the brand (NEREUS) was not just chosen at random. I must have taken a year and thought about which name was not yet available on the market and which name also had a meaning in mythology. Nereus is the god of the Aegean Sea in Greek mythology, which lies between Turkey and Greece. It is said that he had the gift of prophecy and people from all over the world came to him to talk to him and seek divine advice. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In addition, it is said that Nereus conveys strength and gives supernatural powers. <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">FIV: How did your creative vision as an actor translate into the design and style of your products?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Fabian: I was always blown away by the movie &#8220;Percy Jackson&#8221; back then and love watching movies where a person gains magical powers, like in &#8220;Spider-Man&#8221;, &#8220;Captain America&#8221;, &#8220;Iron Man&#8221; or even &#8220;Superman&#8221;. Since water has always played an important and fulfilling role for me and I have always loved to move in water, it was important for me to use the trident as a symbol of strength. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A dream, of course, would be to one day make films about NEREUS in which I myself would be an actor. On the waistband of the underpants you can see a battle of demigods and creatures, reminiscent of a Greek mythology war movie such as &#8220;Troy&#8221;, &#8220;300&#8221; or even &#8220;Sparta&#8221;. All the content, the model images and also the campaign videos are all shot in acting and move heavily into editorial, away from just modeling in front of a white wall.</span></p>

<h2>Sports Content: Golf, Ski &#038; Tennis</h2>
<p>FIV: Maybe you can introduce yourself very briefly in advance so that our readers can get an impression of you. Who are you and what makes your channel?</p>
<p>Katharina: Hi, my name is Katharina Kandel, on social media kacykatharina and I am a native of Munich. On my channel I actually post everything I do from my four-legged friend Picasso, my everyday life, skiing, tennis to lifestyle topics, but most of all golf of course. I think my followers like it that I am authentic and do not pretend. But you&#8217;d have to ask my community.</p>
<h2>First experience at the golf tournament</h2>
<p>FIV: Tell me &#8211; How old were you when you first picked up a racket and who introduced you to the sport?</p>
<p>Katharina: I had a golf club in my hand once when I was 16 and had a pro lesson. Since all my friends were doing other sports, I put the club back in the corner. My father organizes a charity golf cup in Velbert every 2 years. I was always assigned to drive the guests back and forth, because I didn&#8217;t have a golf license and couldn&#8217;t play.</p>
<p>The participants always had &#8220;a riesen Gaudi&#8221; during the golf round and also after the golf they talked about their golf game and I could not join in. That&#8217;s when I decided to get my license so that I could play. So I made the Platzreife and then played the Golf Cup for the first time in 2018. That was my first tournament, but not by default, thank God! That&#8217;s how I came to golf and to my passion.</p>
<p>FIV: How nice! I see you always have a little companion with you on the course. Would you like to tell us what the little teddy bear lady is all about?</p>
<h2>Always with you: Little lucky charm</h2>

<p>Katharina: Now I thought you meant my little dog Picasso, because he is also often on the golf course. He looks like a teddy bear, but he&#8217;s not a lady. When I really started playing golf tournaments in 2020, I thought I would definitely need a lucky charm that could accompany me wherever I went.</p>
<p>So I came across the teddy bear lady on the Internet. With a golf friend I then went a round of golf and we came up with the name &#8220;Bäratrix&#8221;. Bäratrix now accompanies me everywhere and I can&#8217;t imagine playing without her. I don&#8217;t play without her.</p>

<h2>Build a network: Friends on the golf course</h2>
<p>FIV: It&#8217;s always nice to have a loyal companion who brings you luck and comfort when needed. Now I would be interested to know how important the social element of golf is for you and what role it plays for you to build up a network within the sport? After all, that&#8217;s what the sport is known for!</p>

<p>Katharina: Golf is one of the few sports, or even the only sport, where you can talk and have fun with your fellow players during the game. You get to know a lot of different people from all kinds of backgrounds and exchange ideas. In this day and age, it&#8217;s incredibly important to expand your network, whether it&#8217;s inside or outside of the sport. For me, however, the game of golf comes first; building up the network is a great side effect.</p>
<p>FIV: Are you friends with your fellow golfers off the course?</p>
<p>Katharina: I have met many great people while golfing and have become friends for life. It&#8217;s nice when you have the same passion and can share it with each other in your free time out in the fresh air. So a clear yes!</p>
<h2>Getting started in golf: tips for beginners</h2>
<p>FIV: For those who want to try golf now &#8211; what would you recommend to beginners, how can they best get started in the sport especially if they don&#8217;t know anyone yet?</p>
<p>Katharina: The first thing I would do is look for a golf course near me on the Internet and take a trial course there to see if it&#8217;s a sport for me. There you get to know many like-minded people and have the first step in the door. After that, there are courses and you come into contact with more and more people.</p>

<h2>Cliché: Golf only for snobs?</h2>
<p>FIV: The youth plays soccer, field hockey or dances &#8211; What do you think about the statement that golf is not a real sport and only something for snobs?</p>
<p>Katharina: I have to confess that I also played ice hockey and tennis and rode horses when I was young. Now I regret it, because I would have liked to have taken up golf when I was young. Oh, I hear that all the time. Why do you play golf? That&#8217;s for older people, isn&#8217;t it? Golf isn&#8217;t a real sport, they&#8217;re all out of touch.</p>
<p>I definitely have to disagree with this biased opinion. I also want to encourage young people to play golf through my outreach, because it&#8217;s anything but not a real sport or just something for snobs.</p>
<h3>Golf: One of the most difficult sports</h3>
<p>I&#8217;ll go even further, it&#8217;s one of the most difficult sports there is. Of course, it&#8217;s not a sweaty sport like tennis, field hockey or soccer, and your pulse doesn&#8217;t go to 200 in a few seconds unless you miss the ball for the 10th time. But I can assure you that after 18 holes you are physically and mentally exhausted. Beginners who go for an 18 hole round for the first time notice muscles the next day that they didn&#8217;t even know they had.</p>
<p>As for the statement &#8220;is only something for snobs&#8221; is also not true. Of course, there are always some snobs, but I think there are in every sport.</p>
<blockquote><p>Golf has become more and more attractive since the Tiger Woods era. I have the feeling that more and more people who used to condemn golf are now taking it up because they realize that it&#8217;s a cool sport.</p></blockquote>

<h2>Importance of the golf course: the most beautiful places</h2>
<p>FIV: Well, let&#8217;s hope that this false image will change in the future! How important is the choice of golf course to you and what factors influence your decision?</p>

<p>Katharina: Phew, that&#8217;s a difficult question. Because every golf course has something special and one is more difficult or easier to play. My decision doesn&#8217;t depend on that. I prefer to play on golf courses that have a beautiful panorama and are located in a rural area, whether by the sea, in the mountains or in the foothills of the Alps. My favorite course is my home club Maxlrain.</p>
<p>FIV: What has been one of the most beautiful golf courses you have played so far?</p>
<p>Katharina: The two most beautiful were The Bay Golf Course in Costa Navarino and Club de Golf Alcanada in Mallorca. Whereas, as I said, there are so many great golf courses in Europe and especially around Munich.</p>

<h2>Sporty! Katharina keeps fit</h2>
<p>FIV: Is golf enough for you as a sport or do you think it&#8217;s important to do other activities like jogging to balance things out?</p>
<p>Katharina: It&#8217;s very important to do compensatory sports for golf, because it&#8217;s already very one-sided. It is best to go to the gym to train and strengthen all muscle groups, especially the back. Cardio training, such as jogging or cycling, is very important for general fitness but also for the cardiovascular system. I balance my workouts with strength training, cardio and tennis. In winter I like to go ski touring or skiing, which keeps me fit.</p>
<h2>Important skills and the right choice of outfit</h2>
<p>FIV: Are there certain skills that you should definitely bring to the golf course?</p>
<p>Katharina: Coordination, feeling for the ball, desire to run, patience, concentration I think would be an advantage in the beginning.</p>
<p>FIV: Is the outfit choice in golf important for you to fully immerse yourself in your role or are there certain dress codes?</p>
<p>Katharina: For me, the choice of outfit is important. Above all, the outfit should be comfortable, not pinch anywhere, and of course look sporty and pretty. You also have to pay attention to the dress code. It has become much looser nowadays, but a NoGo are jeans and muscle shirts for men. Polos, cloth pants, shorts, skirts, hoodies, dresses and sleeveless tops for ladies (not cut out) etc. are allowed.</p>
<h2>Looking to the future: Katharina&#8217;s personal goals</h2>
<p>FIV: Would you tell me if you have any specific goals you would like to achieve in golf in the coming years?</p>
<p>Katharina: Of course I&#8217;ll tell you. I have set myself the goal of getting under HCP 20 and aiming for 15. With a lot of physical and mental training and discipline, I hope it&#8217;s doable. I will keep you informed.</p>
