Trixigiese in interview – Trixi gained her fame through her participation in the 13th season of“Germany’s next Topmodel” and is now successful as a model and content creator on Instagram and TikTok. The 23-year-old Berlin native loves fashion and fashion. But that’s not her only passion. For ballet she just moved to Paris on her own when she was 17, but that wasn’t her only move either. She loves to discover new things and places and can’t get enough of it.

Fashion, Ballet & Social Media

We talk to Trixi about her passions fashion, ballet and social media. She is a content creator on Instagram and TikTok, so we asked her which platform she personally enjoys more. Through her job, she works a lot with her boyfriend. Often, that can lead to problems in relationships. For this reason, we asked her for tips on how a relationship can work despite all this. Of course, we also talked to her about her participation in Germany’s next Topmodel. She shares with us her experiences and how her life has changed after GNTM. Where she has already lived everywhere, how it was for her to move alone at a young age in a foreign city and much more can be found here in this interview!

“Fashion is Self-Expression”

FIV: Hello dear Trixi, thank you very much for taking the time for this interview. Let’s get right into it! Fashion is a big topic on your social media channels. Is there currently a fashion trend that you just can’t understand?

Trixi: Good question! Fashion has always been an important topic for me, whether consciously or unconsciously. As a child, for example, my mother always allowed me to choose my own outfits. Of course, there were also many days when things didn’t match at all. However, this allowed me to develop my own fashion sense early on. I think it’s important to wear what you feel comfortable with and what you like. You shouldn’t be forced to stick to current trends just to fit in. Fashion is self-expression, so wear whatever you want.

Social media: Instagram or TikTok?

FIV: You do content on both Instagram and TikTok. Of the two, which platform do you personally enjoy more and why?

Trixi: That’s actually something I often ask myself. I don’t think there’s a clear answer for me, because each platform stands for itself and has its very own cosmos. Instagram is the platform that accompanied me directly at the beginning. I know the app and love creating aesthetic content. The exchange with my community is the most important thing for me and that still works best on Instagram. GenZ in particular no longer has an Instagram account today, but moves around on TikTok. It’s nice to see that there is so much diversity on TikTok and that there are always new, fresh trends. The platform is just a lot of fun. That’s why I decided early on to create content on TikTok as well. Even if it’s still incomprehensible to many, since the platform is so insanely versatile and fast-moving, I assume that it’s the future.

Job & Relationship: The most important thing is respect

FIV: In your job, it’s not always easy to separate professional and private life, and as soon as it gets mixed, this can quickly lead to problems in the relationship. On your social media channels you can often be seen working together with your boyfriend. Do you have any tips for our readers on how a relationship can still work?

Trixi: As some of you may know, I’ve been with my boyfriend Samy Neo for a year now. A big help is of course that as a self-employed photographer he understands my work and always supports me. It’s great to know someone on your side with whom you can really share everything. Since we also work together often, the transitions from personal to professional are rather fluid. Nevertheless, I have learned one thing from my previous relationships. The most important thing besides love and friendship is respect. We respect each other and our work very much. Even if we don’t agree, we always try to understand each other’s point of view. I think that’s something that’s also lost socially nowadays – treat others the way you would like to be treated.

Passion ballet discovered in Toulouse

FIV: Now we would like to talk about your passion for ballet. What inspired you to take up ballet back then?

Trixi: I was born in Toulouse and we moved to the States to Washington D.C. for a few years. During that time, my sister and I did gymnastics. When we moved back to Toulouse, I accompanied a friend to ballet and that’s when I discovered my great passion for dancing.

For ballet on their own in Paris

FIV: For ballet, you moved to Paris alone when you were young. Would you like to tell us about your experience of being on your own at a young age?

Trixi: After school, I moved from Toulouse to Paris when I was 17. I lived in a very small apartment on the outskirts of Paris. The move was hard, of course. Cooking for yourself, working, making friends in a new city – it can all be scary. But on the other hand, also something beautiful and enriching, as you get to know each other in a whole new way. Nevertheless, I am incredibly grateful at all times for my family, who are always there for me and always have an open ear when I’m not feeling well or have worries. My family always gives me an incredible amount of strength and support so that I can face new challenges.

Trixis secret tip for the city of love

FIV: By having lived in Paris, would you like to tell us Parisian hotspots where our readers must visit?

Trixi: My favorite activity was just walking around the city and discovering something. There are so many cafes and galeries open to young people. The city gives you so much, so my tip is to put on comfortable shoes and explore the city on foot.

Emigrate: Japan and South Korea?

FIV: Can you imagine emigrating “again” and why? Which country would be your destination?

Trixi: As I mentioned before, we always moved a lot with the family. Toulouse, D.C., Toulouse, then alone to Paris and Berlin. Of course, it’s not always easy to settle in new places. But for me it’s incredibly important to get to know new places and cultures and to exchange ideas with people from all different backgrounds. Especially today, when everything is global, it’s even hard for me to decide on just one place. Therefore, I can very well imagine to emigrate again for a few years. For example, I would love to go to Japan or South Korea. Back then, I missed the last big family vacation to Japan because of GNTM. But I have such a great desire to discover something completely different and new for myself again.

2nd participation in GNTM: Best of season?

FIV: Since you just mentioned “Germany’s next Topmodel,” you participated there in 2018. With the experience you gained there, would you participate again and why?

Trixi: For me, Germany’s next Topmodel was a very formative time with great experiences, which allowed me to take away an incredible amount and learn about myself. I owe a lot to the program. Should there ever be a Best of season, I would definitely participate. I am still in close contact with Toni from my relay or Sarah from 2020 and Luca from the last relay. All participants are connected by this experience. It would be an interesting experience and I would be very happy to share it with them again.

Life after participating in GNTM

FIV: Now we would of course be interested to know how your life has changed so far after GNTM?

Trixi: My life has changed a lot. I moved to Germany, people suddenly recognized me on the street, I had the opportunity to walk for shows, I modeled for magazines, and of course I started with social media, which is all just incredibly fun for me. But I’ve also evolved beyond that. For me, connecting with my followers means an incredible amount. When I’m approached on the street, I still often hear that they’ve known me since GNTM, but then the biggest compliment is hearing that they’ve found themselves in my content. When I can help someone through their day or a hard time or inspire or motivate them to be more true to themselves and their emotions, to try something new or reinvent themselves. That’s the most beautiful thing.

Relationship, Travel, Home – News from Nina’s life

FIV: Hey Nina! We are happy to welcome you for a follow up interview! Travel and faraway countries are your world and we would love to dive into that world with you in this interview. But first, let’s start with a little review. Three years have passed since the last interview with our magazine. Give us a little insight: What was your personal highlight of these last 3 years?

Nina: Thank you so much for asking me again for the interview! I’m totally looking forward to the report, it was super, super nice last time. My highlights of the last few years…I can’t really generalize that much. There were a lot of great moments. Everything has somehow remained the same, I’m still together with my boyfriend, which makes me very happy and that for almost 9 years now. That is already a huge highlight for me, to be able to say that after the 3 years now again or still say. Among other things, I was able to travel a lot with him in 2019 and I also traveled quite a lot on my own, which was an absolute highlight, including the trip to Tokyo. I totally fell in love with that city! That was actually already one of the highlights of 2019. But overall, it’s a big highlight that I get to travel so much. I don’t think I’ve ever traveled so much in my life. From Dubai to Tokyo to Bali so really just criss-crossing back and forth across the world. That was my absolute highlight and I think I will never forget this year.

Then 2020 there was actually also a highlight, of which actually no one knows what, then I can drop it times at the point. I bought a property here in Oberembt with Dean, which is a huge highlight for me because it means that we will settle down together even if we don’t get married or have children, that is of course a nice big step for me that I feel absolutely ready for and yes that happened in 2020, in return we couldn’t travel much. And because we couldn’t travel, that’s kind of the counterpart where I would have thought I kind of still need time for that, but kind of after traveling so much in 2019, it was nice to be here for a change. Our hands were kind of tied and bang there has been an opportunity and since we of course directly grabbed. That was with the biggest highlight in the last 3 years.

A fresh start with a new course of study – “Best decision ever”.

FIV: A few years ago you changed your direction, finished your architecture studies and started to study management in the field of marketing and digital media. Are you still satisfied with your choice of study and how far are you with your studies?

Nina: That’s right, I dropped out of my architecture studies, which was the best decision I ever made! The second study, where I’m actually in the last semester now, I’ve pulled through and I’m having an incredible amount of fun! The subject matter I’m dealing with there is one on one with what I’m doing now with Instagram as well. It’s kind of totally interesting to see what it’s like behind the scenes. So not just doing Instagram, but also how it all works and why it works that way and that’s helping me a lot.

I think I will definitely stay in the industry. I’m curious to see what will happen at some point. As of now, I don’t even know what I’m going to do afterwards. I enjoyed it so much, I will probably do a master’s degree. Let’s see what time brings.

Secret of happiness: time with family and friends

FIV: Whether you’re traveling or at home, it doesn’t matter if it’s an absolute dream location or your own private bedroom. When you get up in the morning, what makes you happy?

Nina: Actually, I think you can guess after the last interview that I know that I just have such a great family. That I have the best friends. That I know that they’re there. I don’t know, I’m happy when I know: Tonight it’s going to my parents or it’s going to friends.

I look forward to shopping with my grandpa alone. If you follow me on Instagram a little longer, you know we make our shopping trip every week. I’m thankful to still be able to do everything with him. Since he almost went blind, it’s even more beautiful to see how grateful a person can be. Yes, that is actually the most beautiful thing for me. When I wake up in the morning to know that I have my loved ones around me. No matter if they are my friends or my family. That’s just amazing!

Majorca dreams and charity plans in Africa

FIV: As we know, your heart is set on Mallorca, you even wanted to emigrate there at some point. What is the current status? Do you still want to spend the next few years in Germany?

Nina: The plans to emigrate to Mallorca just stay! I think that’s a dream we’ll fulfill someday when we’re older. We have a little bucket list, Dean and me. We have already said to ourselves that if we achieve everything we want to achieve in Germany, then comes the house in Mallorca or a small Finka or if it’s just a caravan somewhere in the wilderness of Mallorca. Then that would be cool that we can always go there.

But as already said in the first question: We have now bought a beautiful piece of land here, which is really dreamlike and there is now the priority first to build on it, to create our own home. We are super lucky with the property, because it is directly in the village where we live now. It’s right next to Dean’s parents, Dean’s aunt and a lot of friends live here. You actually know the whole village from us and it’s just so perfect. It’s like a storybook for me from us because I know even if I stay here for the next 30 years: I have everyone around me as long as my parents still move here and my grandpa but I will still manage that.

FIV: The last time you spoke to us you expressed the wish to travel to South Africa and start a charity campaign there. Have you pursued this idea in the meantime and is it still on your to-do list?

Nina: That was always a big wish of mine and it still remains! It’s not finished yet either. In fact, this year I would have had a great opportunity to travel to Uganda and support a great organization there. Corona threw a huge spanner in the works and unfortunately it couldn’t be done, but I hope something like that will come up in 2021 or 2022, I’m definitely open to anything!

Bali, Mauritius, Japan & Co. – Future destinations

FIV: You’ve already ticked off Tokyo, Bali and New York on your travel list. Which countries and cities would you like to visit soon?

Nina: I think I could talk about it for three hours now, because the list is almost endless, because for me travelling is simply the most beautiful thing in the world. So I love being here, I also need my homepoint, but it’s also nice to immerse myself in different cultures. That’s why I could talk for 100 years about the next destinations where I absolutely want to go. But on top of my priority list is definitely to explore Japan a bit more! I’ve only been to Tokyo so far and there are so many incredibly cool places! For example, there are places like Okinawa: It looks like the Caribbean, parts of Okinawa or Nagano, you can just ski and look at snow piles.

There are so many corners of Japan I’m dying to see and that’s definitely one of my next travel goals to pursue. And otherwise yes Bali is also back on top of my bucket list. I don’t know, I just miss that. That was just such a beautiful experience.

Then we had planned for this year actually also Mauritius. We have booked everything…yes unfortunately has not taken place. There I would also like to go again in any case. So, these are the three destinations: I would like to do in 2021, if it should finally go times.

Beverly Hills: The Place to live

Up to now Justin and Hailey had lived in a villa in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, for the equivalent of 90,ooo Euros rent per month. But this luxury villa was not enough for them. The couple now treated themselves to a villa from the luxury real estate company Hilton & Hyland in the Beverly Hills, which cost about 22 million euros. The Biebers’ house is called “The Tropics” and is known for its mix of Hollywood glamour and relaxed California style. The brick villa offers a total of 1,600 square meters, including its own tennis court, infinity pool as well as a temperature-controlled wine cellar, a wooden library and an art deco bar.

The Biebers’ property is located north of Sunset Boulevard in the famous Beverly Hills. Of course, this area is especially appealing to the couple. After all, they are not the only stars who have settled in LA. Solid wood furniture, classic chandeliers, and bright rooms as well as materials like leather or velvet are the hallmarks of the villa.

The master bathroom promises a wellness feeling, with its recreated spa area. Outside, Hailey and Justin can relax in the outdoor living room with its relaxed sitting area and barbecue, while enjoying the wonderful view over the valley. The History of the Villa

Their house was originally built in the 1930s in a “Monterey-colonial” style typical of the area. It is located in the middle of the famous Berverly Park, a gated community famous for its huge villas and famous residents. The villa was renovated by previous owner Charles Infante, the Hollywood production designer. Among the former owners of the house were Sofia Vergara, Denzel Washington, Sylvester Stallone, Eddie Murphy, Rod Stewart and several members of the Saudi royal family.

Originally, the house was last sold for $16.5 million in 2015, according to property records. The buyer was Dubai-based real estate developer, Danny Lubert. He then had the property remodelled for several million dollars and furnished it with contemporary interiors before offering it for sale again. However, the house was not so easy to sell. After the price of a whopping $49 million was lowered, the Biebers got hold of it for almost half.

The couple added their very personal touch with expensive artwork and photographs on the walls. The open floor plan of the house in the Beverly Hills features vaulted ceilings and continuous wooden floors, while high windows provide plenty of light. But what is the highlight of the Biebers-House? Justin’s preference for stuffed animals and all kinds of toys can also be found in this house. On the shelves and pedestals are sculptures and plush collectibles from KAWS. This is an artist of whom Justin is a big fan.
