Namilia – Rebellious & provocative against common norms and stereotypes

Driven by the revolutionary spirit of youth cultures and movements, Namilia uses clothing not only as an aesthetic tool, but also as a visual platform to proclaim her own beliefs, conflicts, and dreams. Namilia calls for the empowerment and celebration of a radically new and youthful understanding of feminism. As a brand, we are constantly questioning and rebelling against common rules and notions of gender, femininity, and social norms of the patriarchal society we live in today.

NAMILIA was founded in 2015 by Berlin-based designers Nan Li and Emilia Pfohl, shortly after they graduated with a master’s degree in fashion from the Royal College of Art in London. The duo’s first collection, “My Pussy, My Choice,” was selected for the VFiles runway in New York in October 2015. The fashion and fashion world responded enthusiastically and Namilia soon graced the pages of prestigious fashion magazines and blogs such as VFiles, Vogue Italy, LOVE Magazine, Dazed & Confused, i-D and many more. The collection was shot by photographers such as David LaChapelle, Steven Klein and Willy Vanderperre, to name a few.

Namilia / Berlin Fashion Week – After three years of absence from the catwalk, Namilia is back at Fashion Week! The comeback was a complete success with the fashion show “Cruising Utopia” in collaboration with Need for Speed. From transgender and curvy models to drag queens, a diversity of models presented Namilia’s highly anticipated collection. A show that does not lack representation!

Namilia: Autumn Winter Looks 23/34

Cruising Utopia collection is inspired by the world of car racing and motorcycles. Biker jackets in green, blue and orange can be seen on the catwalk. In addition, there are revealing dresses, bodysuits and corsets that play with the body and hardly lack sexiness. Lace and high shoulders round out the designs of Namilia.
