That’s why we asked her what her favorite travel destination has been so far and if she can name any hotspots. She also reveals her must-haves when traveling. Favorite Travel Destinations: Los Angeles & Hawaii

FIV: Hello dear Millane, thank you for taking the time for this interview. Let’s start with the first question. Because of your job you are traveling a lot. What has been your favorite travel destination so far?

Millane: My favorite travel destination until now was Los Angeles, simply because I have dreamed of this city since I was a little kid. But on the island of Hawaii I was also allowed to be and that was of course also an absolute dream!

The Walk of Fame: Clearly Overhype

FIV: Can you even tell us hotspots for our readers?

Millane: Well to be completely honest I was the total tourist and checked out the must-sees, but one thing I can give you is that the Walk of Fame was the most overhyped thing I’ve ever seen.

Must-haves when traveling: Sleeping pillow & sleeping mask

FIV: Since we’re on the topic of travel, what are your must-haves when traveling?

Millane: My sleeping pillow and my sleeping mask, without them I would probably have already died from lack of sleep.

Traveling alone: Millane’s tips and tricks

FIV: You’ve also been on vacation all by yourself. Could you summarize your experience for our readers who would also like to travel alone but don’t dare?

Millane: Especially when traveling young alone, it is extremely important to first go to a country where you can feel comfortable and safe. On the other hand, it is important that you go in with the expectation to meet people and not to be lonely, even if it can feel lonely! Just do EVERYTHING you feel like doing and everything you couldn’t do with someone else, you are your own team player!

Process behind own collection with About You

FIV: If there’s one thing you can be associated with, it’s fashion. This year you even launched your own collection together with About You. Could you briefly explain the process behind it for our readers?

Millane: In a nutshell: From a lot of communication, creating styles and new ideas, meetings over meetings, fittings and shootings, promotion phase to the launch, everything is involved. Oh and not to forget the long feedback loops.

“Designing your own Pieces the way I like them”.

FIV: Of course, this is also a long process. What inspired your collection and your pieces?

Millane: In fact, my own passion for fashion, since I was a little kid, I dream of creating my own pieces, the way I like them. Today I have the blessing to be able to realize that and I want to awaken this passion in my buyers.

Outfit inspiration: not who, but what!

FIV: With your Outfit Reels and TikToks, you are a great inspiration in terms of style and clothing. Who inspires you with your outfits?

Millane: It’s not really a question of “who” but rather “what”, I often let myself be guided by my own feeling and trust my eye for aesthetics. But I also often scroll through the social media apps to consciously get inspo.

FIV: What stores are in your top 3 where you buy your clothes?

Millane: I actually can’t answer this question at all, because I just shop EVERYWHERE a little bit. On the one hand at stores like Zara, H&M,…. but also at brands like Balenciaga, Prada…. I find one or the other brilliant piece.

FIV: First of all, we would like to thank you again for taking the time for this interview. You started your own brand “high by honey”. What inspired you to start your own fashion brand?

Romina: I started with social media over 10 years ago, before Instagram even existed. My main focus has been fashion and daily outfits since the beginning. Within about two years, I created four collections together with NA-KD. Here, at the latest, it became clear to me that sooner or later I would like to build my own brand with even more freedom of choice. I have realized three collections since 2021 and am already looking forward to all that I still have planned. If all goes well, then the 4th collection goes live this year.

Pressure and fears during the foundation

FIV: Of course, founding your own brand is also associated with a lot of pressure. Did you have fears when founding your brand and if so, how did you deal with them?

Romina: Absolutely. In my head, I already had everything mapped out exactly how the individual processes should look, but putting it all into practice is another matter, especially if you’re not really familiar with the subject of setting up a company. Therefore, I got support for individual areas, such as an independent designer who realizes my ideas on paper, an HTML expert for the coding of the online store or a fulfillment service provider from the 2nd collection for the shipping of orders.

FIV: Since your passion is fashion and you inspire your followers every day with your outfits, we would like to know: What are your top 3 stores where you prefer to buy your clothes?

FIV: It’s the accessory that makes the outfit complete. If you had to choose one accessory, what would it be and why?

Romina: Big earrings, at best hoops. I find eye-catching earrings draw attention especially to the face.

New home together in Düsseldorf

FIV: Not too long ago you moved to your new home. What was the deciding factor for you?

Romina: My partner started a new job in Düsseldorf. Until then, he had lived in Dortmund and I in Duisburg. After a relationship of 2.5 years, we both wanted to take the step of moving into our first apartment together. Düsseldorf was a compromise, because he didn’t want to move to me in Duisburg and I didn’t want to move to him in Dortmund.

FIV: Hello dear Laura! First of all, we would like to thank you again for taking the time for this interview. Then we want to start right away. Among other things, you do a lot of acting content on your TikTok channel, what is it about acting that captivates you?

Laura: Well, I find it incredibly interesting that you can move into completely different roles, that you can simply play the most diverse things. And that you’re simply super changeable in acting. I think the changeability is just mega cool.

Laura’s Favorite: The Vampire Diaries

FIV: If you had the opportunity to star in an existing series or movie, which would it be and why?

Laura: I think I would love to be in The Vampire Diaries if I could, because it’s one of my favorite shows. I think the characters Elena and Katherine are really cool. It’s kind of the same character once, just once in the past and once in the present. It’s more like Catherine, because she’s a little bit meaner and toxic, and that’s really fun to play.

Joyn Production: The Boarding School Season 3

FIV: I would also be very interested to know if you have had other acting experiences and where?

Laura: Yes, I participated in a small Joyn production and had 4 shooting days there, the series was called the boarding school. You can still watch it and I was part of season 3. That was a lot of fun. But I’ve also been on stage myself for ages, certainly for 7/8/9 years and play in musicals.

Express emotions? Piano is the answer

FIV: You are also musical and play the piano. What excites you about playing the piano?

Laura: What excites me about playing the piano is that you can really relax, you play for yourself and for your soul and inner peace. When I sit down at the piano, I feel free and can express all my emotions. I think that’s super cool.

FIV: And what is your favorite song to play on the piano and why?

Laura: My favorite piece is Atlantique Nord by Yann Tiersen, which builds up so beautifuly and has an inner calm. The waves, the sea – that’s what I like about the piece. Other piano pieces by Ludovico Einaudi, like Una Mattina, I also find mega beautiful.

Top 3 Stores: H&M, Zara, Pull & Bear

FIV: But also fashion can be found on your channel again and again. So I would like to know, when you are out and about in the city to do a little shopping, which three stores belong on the shopping list?

Laura: Good question! I often go to H&M for basics, like tops and stuff. Zara I find quite cool, there you can buy nice dresses and fancier things, but also Pull and Bear I like very much.

Drugstore Must-Haves: Dry Shampoo, …

FIV: Should you come across a drugstore on your shopping trip, what do you definitely need to take with you?

Laura: Dry shampoo, toothpaste I actually also always take with me when I’m there, a new toothbrush, cotton pads and lip balm.

Travel and dance on Let’s Dance

FIV: Finally, I would be very interested to know if there is another dream of yours that you would like to fulfill?

Laura: I would love to travel a lot, but that’s not really my dream. In fact, I would love to dance on the show Let’s Dance. I’ve been watching it for ages with my grandmother, so I’m eager to take part.

FIV: Hello dear Alisha, we are glad that it works out with the interview today! Let’s get started then. On your social media channels, lifestyle and especially mom life are your main topics. We would like to talk about Mom Life first and would like to know in which stores you prefer to buy clothes for your daughter Mira?

Alisha: In Germany I like to go to H&M, Zara, C&A and Ernsting Family, but my favorite place to go is Civil when we are in Turkey. The selection and variety is simply the greatest there.

Daughter Mira: Crawling and eating alone

FIV: Mira turned one year old about a month ago. Would you like to tell us what the little one can already do?

Alisha: Mira discovered crawling one day after her birthday, now she walks with help on her hand or on different pieces of furniture. She doesn’t walk freely yet, but that’s not bad at all, I’m sure that will come soon. In addition, she can eat all by herself and learns more day by day.

Tips for expectant moms before birth

FIV: Oh how beautiful! Thinking back a year now, to the birth of Mira, do you have any tips for mamas-to-be who are about to give birth?

Alisha: Listen to yourself! Feel free to listen to experiences, but don’t let them drive you crazy, every birth and every mama is different! What helped me relax when it was going on: I kept thinking to myself the whole time, in a few hours I’ll have my baby in my arms. And when the contractions came more regularly, I just thought to myself: each contraction brings me a little closer to getting to know my daughter, to holding her in my arms and just looking at her. And most importantly, please don’t Google everything! That had me very unsettled. If you have questions, ask your midwife, your doctor or the hospital.

Pregnant means pickles with Nutella

FIV: Very often you hear that women discover unusual eating habits for themselves during pregnancy. Did you have crazy eating habits during pregnancy and if so, what were they?

Alisha: At the beginning of pregnancy I loved to eat pickles with Nutella or with jam. At the end of pregnancy I ate Milky Way galore!

Alisha’s Mom Life on Social Media

FIV: What inspired you in general to get started with social media and share your momlife there?

Alisha: Hamza and I started as a couple and had a lot of fun, but I lacked self-confidence in the beginning, I was afraid of what others would think and was laughed at by friends, relatives or work colleagues even in real life. When I got pregnant and shared my little problems, many moms/pregnant women felt understood and not alone. This gave me food for thought. I started to think about how can I become more approachable for pregnant moms / mommies and over time more and more moms / pregnant women felt understood and this showed up on Instagram in my DMs as well. A lot of messages came with, “Thank you for bringing this up and addressing the issue” or “Thank you for showing openly and honestly that not everything is as rosy as it seems on social media” and that was the point that made me start showing my mommy life on my social media channels. I don’t only show nice days but also bad days, for example I also adressed my miscarriage. This is a topic that is always taboo, which I find very unfortunate. I openly and honestly admit that it still hurts me very much today and hope to give affected women out there some courage and not feel alone. I tell about my problems and also ask my community for advice, which means I include my community completely.

Plan: 2nd child at the end of the year

FIV: You are in the midst of a move, as you and your family are moving into your dream home. What was the deciding factor for you when looking for a house?

Alisha: We said we have to expand because our 3-room apartment with 2 cats has become too cramped in the long run. In addition, we plan to have a second child at the end of the year or at the latest in the new year. We have put a lot of emphasis on the fact that the house or even the apartment has a garden and at least 4-5 rooms. We are very grateful to have found the house and look forward to spending time with the three of us in our new home.

Dream house interior: Simple & modern

FIV: When it comes to furnishings in your dream home, have you thought about what direction you want it to go?

Alisha: Oh yes! It will be very simple, color-wise towards white and gray, also very modern from the furniture pieces. Mira’s room will also be simple, but child-friendly. We’ll work a lot with decorations or even colorful things like her pink ball pit.

FIV: Last but not least, since we’re on the topic of decor, we’d be interested to know: Where do you prefer to buy your decorations?
