The two bloggers had the opportunity to test their roof tent in various weather conditions, including strong storms in Norway. Although you can feel the wind outside, they felt safe inside the tent. Wild Camping in Germany: Allowed or forbidden?

In Germany, the following regulations apply:

In principle, wild camping is not allowed. However, briefly entering natural areas for recreation is allowed as long as you do not pitch a tent or give the impression of “living” there. It is allowed to sleep under the open sky, even with a tarp (also called a tarp). Except in Berlin, you are not allowed to do that. In Hesse and Schleswig-Holstein you are also not allowed to leave paths at night. It is also forbidden to camp in nature reserves, national parks or on private property without the owner’s consent.

When traveling by car, you are allowed to stop at the side of the road to “restore your fitness to drive.” This means you are allowed to rest briefly, but then you should continue driving. Again, you are not allowed to unpack your camping table and appear to be “living”. You should follow these rules to protect nature and avoid negative impact on the environment.

Alternative: trekking places in the open nature

However, there are also special trekking sites, which are smaller pitches for campers in the wild. Spending the night there is allowed. Usually these offer space for up to four tents, have a few simple seats and sparse sanitary facilities. However, you get closer to nature than in a conventional campsite. Surrounded by nature and the sounds of the forest, you can slowly drift off to sleep or cook under the open sky – with the cooking tips you are suitably prepared.

In Germany, wild camping is generally prohibited, but brief entry into natural areas for recreation is permitted. As an alternative, there are trekking sites that allow you to spend the night in the great outdoors and offer a more intense experience of nature.

In some countries, wild camping is even allowed, although there are certain rules and restrictions. Wild camping is also allowed in Scotland as long as no pollution is left behind and no remains of tents and fires are left behind. In addition, stay away from farms, pastures, fields, private property and homes.

Equipment: Exciting days & cold nights

When you’re getting ready to go wild camping, keep these things in mind.

Maps or navigation aids and a headlamp are important so you can find your way without reception or light. A power bank is also helpful, as there are no outlets outside and you should keep your phone functional for emergencies. Remember to bring trash bags to make sure you don’t leave any trash or dirt in the environment. Also, warm clothing is crucial as it can get cold quickly at night and in bad weather.

In addition to these essential items, you should also have standard camping gear, such as sleeping bags, sleeping pads, and cooking utensils. A suitable sleeping accommodation is also important, especially if you want to park anywhere but still want comfort. In this case, as before, it makes sense to take a roof tent. The roof tent you can quickly and easily unfold anywhere you want to camp and yet it takes up less space on the roof of your car than a caravan.

Shooting for Inga Lindström in Sweden

FIV: Hello Nadine, how nice that it worked out with the interview today. You are a successful actress and have most recently played the role of the
starring role. The film was shot in Sweden. How did you experience the filming and what did you enjoy most about your role?

Nadine: It was a very intense and beautiful time. The whole team lived in the same hotel and spent every day together for four weeks. The places where we shot were picturesque and I am very grateful for this beautiful experience. What I enjoyed most about my role was that I got to serve many different story lines – to my long-time relationship, my mother, the new love, etc. – and that I was able to do a lot of different things.

This is how Nadine manages to reconcile family and career!

FIV: As an actress, you travel a lot and sometimes have to shoot abroad, like you did recently in Sweden. That can certainly be quite stressful. How do you manage to reconcile your job with your family life – you also have a little daughter?

Nadine: That’s a challenge that all parents have to overcome, regardless of gender – not excluding us actors. In any case, it always involves a lot of planning. I don’t take on a job without first discussing it with my husband, and neither does he! And then I have great parents and parents-in-law who help us as much as they can.

These are the differences between a series and film shooting

FIV: Before that, you were in many TV series. How does shooting a film differ from shooting a series?

Nadine: The biggest difference is definitely the time. On a daily, for example, you have much less time for each individual scene than on a film. This means you can work more intensively on the film set and try things out more.

There’s a little bit of Nadine in every role!

FIV: Which of your roles have you been able to identify with the most so far?

Nadine: With every new role, I always bring in a bit of Nadine. And with every character, there are always qualities that I can identify with, and then there are some that I can’t identify with at all. So there is no role that stands out.

Since childhood: dream job actress

FIV: What inspired you to become an actress? Was that always your dream job?

Nadine: Absolutely. When I was eleven, I stood on a real theater stage for the first time and since then I knew this was it!

On to Sweden: Pure nature in Northern Europe – Discover Sweden’s national parks

Where better to explore Sweden’s nature than in one of the country’s 30 national parks with their unspoiled and protected nature? This is where the country’s scenic beauty comes into its own. In Stockholm’s Schrengarten with its 24000 small and smallest islands, the small national park Ängsö protects the island of the same name with its beech forests. From the neighbouring larger island of Yxlan, boat trips to Ängsö are possible. Especially in spring, when the plants are in bloom, this national park is worth a visit. In general, the islands of the Stockholm archipelago are a tip for visitors to Sweden. Many islands have a holiday home in Sweden. This way you have an island all to yourself and can fish, swim and explore nature in peace and quiet. More relaxing is simply not possible. A little north of Stockholm is the Färnebofjärden National Park on the Dalälven River near Sandviken. Around the river large flood plains form, especially in spring. A hike through the river meadows and untouched forests of this national park is an absolute highlight of your holiday in Sweden. Fishing and canoeing is also allowed here. If you take part in a canoe trip along the Dalälven River, you can best explore the nature of Färnebofjärden with its moose, otters and beavers. If you really want to discover Sweden, you should do so on one of the many long-distance hiking trails and cycle paths. Walking through the Swedish nature on several daily stages simply makes one come absolutely to oneself. The Kungsleden (King’s Trail), for example, leads visitors on two sections through the vastness of Lapland. Especially recommendable is a
Hike on the northern part between Abisko and Hemavan. From the town of Kiruna, the E10 road leads to the village of Abisko. Here you walk south on marked trails mostly above the tree line. Experience how nature slowly changes from arctic tundra to wooded landscapes. All along the way you can spend the night in managed huts in summer. Here the right of public access applies, so nature can be used well with due respect. Pick some berries or mushrooms along the way and
enrich your dinner in a hut after a day of hiking full of impressions. The lakes along the way can be crossed by yourself with a rowing boat available here. Some also have a small ferry service. Another way to discover Sweden are the numerous tourist routes. With your own car or a rental car, for example, visitors can cross the whole of Sweden from Gothenburg to the Finnish border on the Inlandsvägen and enjoy Sweden’s wild nature away from the big cities.
