Adidas is an international German sporting goods manufacturer whose fame could not be greater. From clothing to cosmetics, it has it all. As a major supplier of famous athletes, sports teams and international sporting events, the brand became known. The company can be recognized by the three famous stripes or the logo with the three leaves, which is supposed to symbolize the Olympic spirit.

This is Stella McCartney

British designer Stella McCartney founded her eponymous fashion company in 2001, which today represents boutiques worldwide and sells high-priced clothing, shoes, handbags, accessories and perfumes in upscale retail. In the beginning, she specialized mainly in items for women, until a few years later men’s and children’s fashion became part of the company. Tuesday is the big kick-off for ABOUT YOU Fashion Week, in the evening at 9pm.

We were there an extra hour before to look at the ABOUT YOU Fashion Week Village. A whole 15,000 m² area with various booths, fashion, styling, but also snacks, drinks, all you need, with ABOUT YOU. While you wait patiently at other fashion shows, here everyone was already dancing. Already at 8 pm the Village was one club and really everyone had extremely fun – unusual for the first show of Fashion Week. We are excited to see what is still to come! Stella McCartney, Lena Gercke, Leni Klum, Hugo Boss, are just a few of the dates that are in store for us in the coming days thanks to ABOUT YOU.

Stella McCartney: Fashion with intent – shoes, coats, bags & co.

Already at the age of thirteen, the young girl designed her first jacket. At sixteen she achieved an internship at the renowned fashion house Christian Lacroix. This was followed by the study of fashion design at Central Saint Martins College, which was also attended by designers such as Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood.

Her graduation in 1995 was crowned by a show that was not far from a professional fashion show of the long-established designers. The new label had it all, because Miss McCartney had a plan. She herself had been a vegetarian by conviction since early childhood, but fashion without animal materials was often ostracized as cheap. Stella made it her goal to introduce animal-friendly alternatives to the luxury fashion world.

She succeeded in this endeavour because not only did she help to increase the fashion industry’s acceptance of leather and fur alternatives, she was an absolute pioneer for a market that grew more and more in the following years, gaining new followers and thus new customers.
