Every year there are the biggest fashion shows and fashion weeks all over the world. Whether London, New York, Berlin, Milan or Paris. The designs of the fashion designers are usually presented by mannequins or models on the catwalk and thus presented to the world what will be the trend of the coming fashion season. We at FIV Magazine have summarized the highlights of the fashion brand Givenchy for you here.

Hubert de Givenchy and his grandiose fashion empire

Hubert de Givenchy founded his still successful fashion company in Paris in 1952. After a short time, the fashion designer conquered the Parisian fashion sky with his inspiring flair for fashion. In addition to luxurious haute couture fashion for women, high-priced prêt-à-porter, accessories, perfume and cosmetics – Givenchy is one of the most sought-after and gifted fashion designers of our time.

Here you can learn more about the unique history of the luxury brand Givenchy

Between exquisite Haute Couture & exciting Prêt-à-porter

The fashion empire of Hubert de Givenchy leaves nothing to be desired. Fantastic evening gowns. Comfortable Ready to Wear collections. Heavy coats for the winter and airy light dresses for the summer. On Givenchys catwalk there is something for every fashionista.

Formal clothing with a touch of modern lightness

An epic backdrop in a completely dark room, with a catwalk that is only lit by spotlights. Creative Director Clara Waight Keller shows her new Autumn Winter collection at ‘L’ Hippodrome de Longchamp’ in Paris. Check out the complete show here.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrbMu2BY8H4

Extravagant fashion like from a fairy tale

Clare Waight Keller’s haute couture for Givenchy has so far been characterized by a certain rigor. This is undoubtedly due to her deep respect for the house and possibly also because haute couture is a new world for her. However, as always, we find her collection absolutely successful. See for yourself in the video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2dcQ0qYr4w

Summer dresses, feminine silhouettes and romantic pantsuits

Clare Waight Keller’s haute couture collection for spring was rooted in her memories of a visit to the gardens Vita Sackville-West had planted at Sissinghurst Castle, “It’s one of the most romantic places in England,” she said, “I’m obsessed with this place.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlQg2jcpKCQ&t=58s

Fancy leather pants and pompous fur coats for winter

In 2018 Givenchy presented its second ready-to-wear range at the Palace of Justice in Paris. Earlier in the day, creative director Claire Keller spoke with the assurance that her groundbreaking couture collection would be well represented at the Academy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, the world’s largest global fashion stage, in the evening. Check out the full fashion show here.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QU9_0erK8o&feature=emb_logo

Top class fashion shows: Givenchy’s best backdrops

The creative minds at Givenchys are always coming up with something new. After all, a normal catwalk gets boring at some point. That’s why the best locations are always sought for the fashion empire’s latest shows – with great success, we think.

Male prints and emancipated cuts in the midst of Italian romanticism

In 2020, the label left the familiar Paris to show its collection in the gardens of the Villa Palmieri in Florence – a place where history and romance mix. The exhibition starts on the terrace of the house surrounded by cast-iron tables and ends in the extensive green spaces of the property.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAteLKv6Wws

Melancholic Haute Couture in a royal garden

Waight Keller, creative director of the brand, paid tribute to the founder of the Hubert de Givenchy brand, who died shortly before, with the autumn haute couture collection. The silhouettes of the mannequins were increasingly in the foreground here and richly decorated dresses twisted the heads of the ladies in the Front Row in particular.

Diverse collection for men with lots of latex, embroidery and metal lace

For Autumn / Winter 2020 Claire Waight Keller dressed the young models in mainly figure-hugging coats and latex bodysuits. Inspired by the fashion of the young prince Yeshwant Rao Holkar II, who left India half a century ago to explore the world. So you can find here mainly royal embroideries and sparkling rhinestones, as you can see in the video.

The unique fashion empire and its mannequins

Who is behind the Givenchys brand? What inspired him and what plans does he have for the future? We also have an exclusive look behind the scenes of a Givenchy fashion show for you. You can find out which international supermodels had the honour of walking the catwalk for the exclusive brand here.

Interview with fashion designer Hubert de Givenchy

Hubert de Givenchy was a French fashion designer, couturier and designer. Who founded the fashion and cosmetics company Givenchy, which is now celebrating international success, in Paris in 1952. This interview shows his interesting and moving story and how it all began with the Givenchy fashion label.

Backstage with the supermodels Naomi Campbell, Irina Shayk and Kendall Jenner

Casual with a water bottle in your hand, wonderfully unvarnished and still with dishevelled hair – that’s how a rehearsal really takes place a few hours before the big fashion show.

Sparkly dresses. Extravagant handbags. Fruity scent combinations. There is hardly anything that the Italian designer duo consisting of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana cannot do. Their collections are always cleverly thought out. Just like their fashion shows. Sometimes they take place in ancient ruins, sometimes in royal rooms. Sometimes they are 70 year old supermodels on the catwalk, sometimes up-and-coming influencers. Every Dolce & Gabbana fashion show always tells its own story. Check out the highlights here.

Dolce & Gabbana – Dazzling success story

It all began in 1998 at the Italian fashion house Gabbanas in Milan. Originally, Domenico Dolce wanted to apply for a job there. But Stefano Gabbana immediately recognized Dolce’s talent and so the official fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana was born. The first classic fashion line was followed by collections with sporty jerseys, lascivious underwear and later even the first perfume. Since then the creative designer duo has won countless awards.

Elegant women’s collections and tearful runway shows

Every women’s collection from Dolce & Gabbanas is always an ode to emancipated femininity. The dresses are always sparkling and elegant and the accessories cleverly chosen. Like queens of the modern age, the models walk up and down the runway.

Ready to Wear in typical Italian tradition

The autumn collection for women 2020/21 was all about Fatto a Mano. Italian tradition and perfect craftsmanship are not only combined but also celebrated in the style of Dolce & Gabbana. Take a look at the entire fashion show here.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzYwS3keSps

Avant-garde dresses against a divine backdrop

In July 2019 Dolce & Gabanna invited to one of their most spectacular fashion shows ever. The who is who of the fashion industry gathered in Sicily. The ensemble of dresses that the invited people found was inspired by the goddesses of Roman and Greek antiquity.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FW0DSGxs8WA

Diamond-set evening gowns and majestic jewellery

Royal was it 2018 at the autumn / winter collection of women. Sequins sparkled with rhinestones, here and there transparent fabrics radiated a touch of sensual elegance and glittering tiaras and accessories made the models look like the queens of modern times.

Emotional anniversary show with Carla Bruni, Eva Herzigova, Ashley Graham

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are not only known for their designs but also for their always perfectly thought-out runway shows. This time the beauty and individuality of each one was the main focus. So models of all ages could be found on the catwalk. Among them were also Hollywood stars and politicians.

Innovative menswear and spectacular fashion shows

For decades the designers Dolce &Gabbana have been praised for their collections. They even received the notorious “Woolmark Award” for their original men’s collections. Take a look at the highlights here.

Knitted coats and berets for autumn

Similar to the women’s Ready to wear collection, the men’s collection also included a lot of knitwear in opaque colours. The models here reminded a little bit of a young paperboy from a Charles Dickinson novel. Oversized coats and heavy knitted caps were used more and more.

Gold plated shirts and royal prints: A Fashion Show for the Gods

The men’s haute couture collection was also presented in Sicily. This time at the Palazzo dei Gesuiti. Surrounded by awe-inspiring statues of Zeus and other gods, the models radiated a touch of antique romanticism. Here is the video of the fashion show.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRmDqmmP-sk

Boxer shorts, high knee socks and fanny packs for the summer

The two Italian designers provided enough eye candy for the rest of the year when they presented their men’s collection 2019: The men’s models were always half-naked, dressed with nothing less than a little underwear and the hottest accessories of the season.

Fashion show of contrasts with Cameron Dallas, Nash Grier and Nam Joo Hyuk

At the fashion show of the men’s collection 2019, many a familiar face from the entertainment industry could be found among the models. The looks of the men were almost contradictory. There were gold-plated jackets and baroque crowns, as well as short tracksuits and swimming trunks.

Creative & unique – in front and behind the cameras

A fashion show must always be well thought out. After all, months of preparation are behind it. But what’s behind the floral prints and spectacular shows of the designer duo Dolce & Gabbana? We have an exclusive insight for you here.

Behind the scenes with Emily Ratajkowski and Ashley Graham
