“Let’s do my own wedding dress”

FIV: Hello dear Krizzl, how nice that it worked out today with the interview. Congratulations on your wedding! It’s hard to believe, but you made your wedding dress yourself. What inspired you to do it and how long did it take you?

Krizzl: Thank you very much!!! The thought came very spontaneously, just under 1 week before our appointment. Because that was also the period where we moved to a larger apartment. During the move I discovered a box with a lot of white sheer Ikea curtains. That was the moment where I thought…, wait a minute, Let’s do my own wedding dress! I quickly ordered some materials like hoop skirt, butterfly and floral elements and picked the rest from my closet. I was under a lot of pressure, but I was just so into it! The whole thing had then taken a whole three days and it was worth it!

FIV: It’s clear from your social media channels that dancing is your passion. Could you tell our readers how long you’ve been dancing and how it became your passion?

Krizzl: I’ve probably been dancing since I was ten years old. It has always been a kind of therapy for me. It made me happy! I only ever danced alone, secretly, in my room, until I wanted to go to a dance school when I was fourteen. I quickly realized that I felt underchallenged and came to the point to teach myself on a voluntary basis. Style: Dancehall, HipHop. Through dancing I also met my husband at 16 and we both trained together dancing Salsa. Where we also together 2013, German champions have become. It is simply impossible for me to imagine life without it.

From classical music to rock

FIV: What are your favorite songs to dance to and why?

Krizzl: I love, love, love the 2000s! But I’m very open there. From classical music to dancehall/reggaeton/Latin. From HipHop/R’nB to Rock! The only thing I don’t listen to at all or very little are Schlager and Deutschrap.

After graduation: Hearing Aid Acoustician

FIV: You have also completed training as a hearing aid acoustician. How did it come about that you took this path?

Krizzl: I didn’t know what to do with myself after graduation. I just never knew what my dream job was or what my future should look like. I was always too busy with dance training and taking photos. Funnily enough, the profession of dance teacher never appealed to me, even though I received a lot of offers in this regard. Then suddenly I saw a sign in front of an acoustician’s shop
“Apprentice wanted.” I had never heard of this profession before and thought directly “Ey, that seems to be something where I won’t be bored.”

Krizzl’s trademark: her red hair

FIV: Your trademark definitely includes your beautiful red hair. What are your favorite products to use in your hair routine?

Krizzl: Thank you! I have actually always been asked about my hair. I can’t imagine any other color like copper on me either. My favorite product is once a scalp massage brush and my Octopus curler set for overnight curls, since I let as little heat as possible get to my hair. Everyone also always asks me what hair color I use, since I recommend to dye the hair with Elumen, that is the gentlest variant. However, you have to remember that everyone starts with a different color. I have naturally already red / brown hair.

Turn everything negative into positive

FIV: You radiate a lot of positivity on social media. Of course, social media and reality are two different things, but we would still be interested to know how you can always be so positive?

Krizzl: That’s right! There is not only black and white. Everyone has a story and also has hard times. Of course, one much prefers to show the beautiful sides. I try to turn all the negative things that have happened to me into positive things and to charge my environment at the same time. I have achieved this through my husband. If you have someone at your side who is always there, you live much more positively! It doesn’t always have to be your partner, of course it can also be your buddy, your best friend, your pet or your grandma.

Tips: Make mindset more positive

FIV: Do you maybe even have tips for our readers to make their own mindset more positive?

Krizzl: What always motivates me is the thought “You only live once” and the attitude that it doesn’t matter what others think of you, because as long as you love yourself the world is much nicer. I also always try to convey these values. Self-love, respect and tolerance. Always think of yourself first! This has brought me personally very far. I realized that I was a “people pleaser” and wanted to please everyone and thus slowed myself down a lot.

FIV: You often do dance collabs. Do you think about a choreography together? How long do you have to practice? How many attempts do you usually need until the video is in the bag? So in short, how can you imagine the preparation and process of such a video?

Krizzl: Most of the time, I’m the one who consciously organizes everything. I just love to take the wheel. I often look for popular/current Dance Challenges or get inspired by new music. Then write dancers that would fit well with the idea and then meet at the location with a suitcase full of clothes and most of the time the best ideas are born on the spot. My husband is a videographer, so he always comes along. Equipment is also at the start. Usually we always do three good takes after we’ve all rehearsed first and that’s it, because if it doesn’t work after the fourth, fifth, sixth try, it can’t work. So sometimes it goes really fast, but sometimes you hang on for a whole day.

Krizzl in private: empathic & stubborn

FIV: Last but not least, we’d like to get to know a bit of your private side. What is your best and what is your worst quality?

Krizzl: The best quality is probably my strong empathy. That’s the ability to recognize and understand other people’s feelings and motives, to simply be able to put myself in my opponent’s shoes. My worst would be my stubbornness or my stubborn nature. I can sometimes be intransigent and then close myself off directly and it then really takes a while until I can open up again.

“I find it hard to give up my morning routine” – Linh & her regular daily routine.

FIV: You now have over 600,000 followers on your TikTok channel – that’s a big success! It’s probably a great feeling when you know that your followers are behind you and follow your TikToks regularly, isn’t it?

Linh: It’s definitely a great feeling to know that so many people follow you and find it exciting and interesting what you produce – I’m very grateful for that.

FIV: Besides your singing, you like to post beauty videos, like transforming into celebrities. Is beauty an integral part of your everyday life? You seem to have a lot of fun getting involved with makeup.

Linh: I like to create new looks, not only in beauty but also in fashion. I get super inspired by other accounts and then implement these looks on my account. It’s so satisfying when you look at the result after work and it looks good.

FIV: What does your everyday life look like? What could you not do without? Do you have a certain routine, that is, when you shoot your videos, for example?

Linh: My daily routine consists of my morning routine, which consists of jogging, exercising, meditating and having a cup of tea. In fact, it’s hard for me to do without my morning routine. Should the case arise that something gets in the way, I’m still a little out of rhythm:)

Succeeding through fun videos: How Linh’s Life Changed 360 Degrees

FIV: How did it actually come about that you started so intensively with TikTok? Was it your plan and dream to live the way you currently do? If not, what was your actual plan?

Linh: It was actually my brother who motivated me to do it. I was only visiting Germany, but since I had just returned from Vietnam and had to go into quarantine afterwards, it actually started. Son had school holidays at that time. So we had all the time in the world and I thought why not. Let’s dance a bit and do our everyday nonsense. Over the months it eventually became a habit and you couldn’t stop. Eight months later, my life has changed 360 degrees.

FIV: The production for your content probably takes a lot of time. Do you do anything else besides your job as a TikToker or is this your main job?

Linh: I used to be a dance teacher and a singer in Vietnam. When I came back to Germany, I started directly with social media and made this my main job.

FIV: As you can easily see on your channel, you love to sing. Do you have any plans for the future as far as singing goes? Or do you just want to keep posting videos on TikTok and Instagram?

Linh: Yes definitely, I want to continue with the music. That’s what my soul lives and burns for. How and when I can not say exactly. Due to the current situation, everything is still a little limited, but hopefully a door will open for me very soon.

FIV: You produce content every day – I don’t imagine it’s easy to always have new ideas for posts on your social media accounts. Do you have role models that inspire you? People or motivations of your own that you keep in mind on a regular basis? If so, what would they be?

Linh: In the beginning, I have to admit, I only produced content that I enjoyed. I paid less attention to who was watching and who wasn’t. In the beginning, I actually only uploaded one video a day or every two days. Then, as I said, it became a habit and I uploaded two to three videos a day, experimenting for the first time. Sometimes it was dance-, fashion-, lifestyle- or singing videos etc. But you always look at the trends in between and see if that’s something for you. I want to stay as authentic as possible, because I don’t want to create an image that I’m not.

FIV: Finally, I have a question for you: Do you have certain things that you would like to achieve?

Linh: I definitely want to increase my reach and am working diligently on it. It’s important to me to have fun and enjoy it and not lose myself in the process. The one thing I definitely want to do and continue to push is the music and perform here. I hope that will work out very soon. Solang I sing in front of the camera:)

How does the points system work? Calculate & Co.

The points system is a program developed by Weight Watchers in which each participant has a Smartpoints budget. This must be adhered to in order to achieve success. Different meals and foods have different numbers of Smartpoints and this makes the whole program very clear which foods should be included or reduced in the daily diet. The budget is calculated from age, height, weight and gender.

The WW app puts all your data in one place. It’s the place where you can track your weight, search for recipes and collect rewards for healthy habits. A mobile recipe book with advice, an online community and all in one a place of motivation to pursue your goals.

Today, all WW influencers meet to celebrate common successes but also to talk about news, at WW, privately and in the community. Who has tried out which recipe? How are you getting on with the new points system? It’s the perfect time for small talk and reunions, after a long time. WW is not only proud of the many individual successes of its customers, but also rewards the stamina and cooking enthusiasm of WW Influencers once a year with a festive event. For this purpose, all influencers who report on their evening journey on Instagram are invited to eat together, exchange ideas and have a good time together.

Blue carpet & chocolates – Feel good with WW

The FourtyFour in Düsseldorf is probably one of the most beautiful locations to celebrate this festive occasion. Upon entering the lobby, the girls could see the WW logo on a large billboard and knew that they were welcome and the day could now officially start. 4 elevators brought different groups of influencers to the top floor, where a WW blue carpet was already rolled out and a waiter handed out WW chocolates. Curious looks abounded as the 4-meter Christmas tree was spotted in the winter sun. A Polaroid camera was used to shoot a cute portrait of each influencer, with personal signature for a large photo wall. The view to the right showed a press wall, where the first interviews and photos were already shot. Straight ahead you could see a beautifuly prepared show kitchen, lovingly designed with small herb beds and seasonal vegetables and fruits served in slate bowls. Here, later on, Andi Schweiger, star chef also known from TV and cooperations with WW, will prepare dishes from his new cookbook with WeightWatchers. Through a platform with skins and cushions with a perfect view of the spectacle.

Celebrity chef Andi Schweiger – star food and delicious recipes

A very special highlight for all participants was the star chef, Andi Schweiger, everyone knows and loves him. He enchants the WW community not only on Youtube, live with show cooking and subsequent talk he is also live at the event. Andi has been working with WW for quite some time now, doing cooking classes with enthusiastic fans. The menu of the day was inspired by his cookbook, which became reality together with WW. As a starter a pumpkin soup, as a main course a lamb fillet with fresh red cabbage and black salsify potato pancakes and as dessert a poppy seed cake with plum compote. His cookbook called “Genial Saisonal!” was also available as a gift for all the girls and went down great. Everyone could have their book signed and take a photo with star chef Andi.

Next to the show kitchen was a large table set with purple flowers and gorgeous table decorations. Surrounded by glass facade, the whole ambience looked super inviting to enjoy the occasion in the perfect mood. From the tables, each influencer had a good view of the podium where the talks with Starkohc Andi Schweiger and Motsi Mabouse were held. At the other end of the room, a bit hidden but very classic, there was a press corner where plants and couches were used to create a comfortable feeling and a nice backdrop for all the interviews. Here there is a chance for influencers to talk about their experience with Weight Watchers and their personal progress, of course giving a few tips. The whole day is filled with talks from celebrity guests, the food and other small activities. Like the studio set up to give the girls a chance at a shoot, which will be their own personal WW magazine cover afterwards.

Dancing with Motsi Mabouse

As a special Motsi Mabouse, judge of Let’s Dance in Germany and UK, visited the event and talked about her own eating habits, her new child and how conscious she is about her diet since then. The event was rounded off with a dance class by Motsi and all the influencers had the chance to let their dancing legs swing in a personal coaching session. An unforgettable experience for all participants.

What a day! Cozy living room vibes

As the program slowly came to an end, the atmosphere became very relaxed and reminded of a big living room with a cozy, family feeling. All the girls had the opportunity to sit together, take pictures and enjoy a warm mulled wine on the roof terrace while the sun was setting. On this very roof terrace, a drone was then launched and everyone was able to wave into the camera for the incredible shots. As the event drew to a close, each influencer was given a goodie bag to take home with them, full of little surprises. The new cookbook “Genial Saisonal!” by star chef Andi Schweiger, snacks from the WW Shop and a cookbook for working people. All influencers left the event with a good feeling, new stories and lots of new information for a good life.
