Another coaching session was coming up and this time the girls had to prove their acting talent. But not only that! Thomas and Michael had invited models twice. First of all it was about the acting interaction between the candidate and the male model. For this, short dialogues had to be memorized and then presented in front of themhe camera. Especially Elena C., the daughter of themhe actor Mathieu Carriere, could inspire Michael and Thomas. Afterwards the girls had to do a test shooting with the male models. A perfume advertisement should be represented. The models came quite close to each other, which one or the other did not like at all.

“Yes, I do!” – That’s what you want to say when you walk down the aisle in a white dress to marry the love of your life. For the girls, however, things turned out quite differently – they were shooting their first fashion film! Here it came down to acting talent and not all of themhem were happily married at the end… The film was about love, disappointment and overcoming. Heidi had chosen something special for it, or rather someone very special. The groom was not a classic male model, but the famous“Ugly Model” Del Keens. In a single “take”, the girls had to take on a wide variety of roles, and not every one of themhem went through the perfect dream wedding. Also this time Elena C. could inspire of herself. She played the role of a woman who was dumped at the altar. All attempts to prevent the groom went wrong and with tears in her eyes she stormed out of themhe church. What caused great admiration among Heidi and the director, made many candidates envious. Especially Jasmin was not at all enthusiastic about Elena’s success.

Top Models for the “Phillips Beauty Campaign”

A new job was on the horizon! And what a job, because “Phillips” was looking for a face for a beauty campaign. The Philips ProCare hair styler was advertised. Kim, who has a short hairstyle due to the makeover, quickly realized that her chances of getting the job were very slim. Nevertheless, she brought out the best in herself to convince the client of her worth for possible further jobs. Fata, Elena C. and Luana were shortlisted. In the end, however, the client chose Elena C., which especially bothered Fata. She had high hopes.

The big decision of themhe 10th episode Germanys Next Topmodel

This time there was no classic catwalk at the weekly decision. The girls had to convince the jury of themheir qualities on a treadmill. They were given a story by Heidi, which they had to embody. The candidates played women who started a new life, leaving everything behind and starting anew. They had to take off their coats, accessories and dresses, so that they ended up in just their underdresses. Many of themhe girls gave a great performance and were sent directly to the next round. Lara, Elena K. and Laura had not convinced the jury and “wobbled”. The jury decided to give Lara and Elena K. another chance. Laura had to leave the show in this episode. Thus “Team Michael” had lost another candidate.

The underwear casting – New challenges for the top models


The last day in Sydney was dawning. But instead of enjoying it relaxed in the city, a new job casting was on the agenda. The New Zealand lingerie label “Bendon” was looking for a model for the upcoming lookbook of “Heidi Klum Intimates”. But contrary to expectations, there were also other, already experienced models at the casting. This caused a lot of unrest among the girls. But Julia had completely different problems, because her model portfolio had disappeared. This did not go down well with the customers and Julia had to leave immediately. In the end Elena C. got the job, which especially disturbed Jasmin, who had also been on the shortlist. For Elena C. it went immediately to the shooting. The other girls continued their search for Julia’s modelbook in the hostel and finally found it: Fata had probably put the portfolio in her suitcase by mistake. Too bad that Julia had no chance to get the job!

The next morning it was time to pack their bags, because the girls were going back to Los Angeles. And there a very special surprise awaited the girls. They were finally allowed to move into the luxury villa in the Beverly Hills. But that was not all! In the mansion heaps of gifts were waiting for the girls. Watches, cosmetics, sunglasses and a large infinity pool were ready for the girls. Full of enthusiasm and joy the girls threw themselves into the pool. But for Julia the week did not start very well. She was diagnosed with pneumonia. Mentor Thomas was very worried because Julia’s health just didn’t seem to improve. But she did not want to give up.

Relaxing in the villa was not announced but for now. For the girls it went in the afternoon directly to the next big shooting. This time, however, was not Heidi the girls to the side. Thomas and Michael supported the girls at the upcoming shooting. And they needed it, because this time very special and especially biting shooting partners were waiting for the girls: Tiger pythons. That made the one or other candidate clearly to create. Especially Lara and Jasmin had terrible fears and great anxiety before the shooting with the imposing snakes. But the shooting partner was not the only hurdle. For the first time, the girls had to come up with their own picture composition. Thomas, Michael and photographer Mario Schmolka gave only a few tips. Now the girls dived into the “golden twenties”. In elegant lingerie and beautiful accessories the candidates posed in a noble theatre. Fata, Jasmin and Kim mastered the task particularly well. In the end, however, Jasmin was able to convince the mentors and received a great prize: a new Opel Adam. This caused a lot of envy, but Jasmin didn’t let it bother her any further.

The weekly decision was coming. And with it, many hard measures. Michael and Thomas had told Heidi about Julia’s poor health. The jury now had to act and decided to send Julia home. They had to live up to their responsibility towards the girls. Heidi: “Of course we are responsible. Not just for Julia, but for all of you to be okay. And we don’t think Julia is doing quite so well right now. And that’s why we had to make a decision whether Julia will stay on or not. And we think it’s better for Julia to leave the show!”. Words that shocked her fellow contestants. No one had expected the young contestant’s sudden exit and it affected the mood! But the Walk was coming up and now the girls had to pull themselves together. The girls had to complete a “One-Dress-Walk”. Not so easy! Lara, Laura-Kristin and Luana could not convince the jury with their performances and “wobbled”. While Lara and Luana got another chance, the journey at “Germany’s Next Topmpdel” came to an end for Laura-Franziska.

Hot headlines in episode 8 of GNTM

In the eighth episode of “Germany’s Next Topmodel” candidate Kim had to learn the dark side of the model business. A paparazzo had photographed her during the final walk when her dress slipped and exposed parts of her cleavage. During a phone call with her boyfriend, she learned that this faux pas had landed her on the cover of BILD, which Kim did not likeat all. Back with the girls, the young model burst into tears. Also shocked, the contestants took care of their fellow contestant. Heidi also showed great compassion: “I can absolutely understand Kim. Of course! She’s a beginner, she hasn’t experienced very much yet. Especially in this model business. For such a young girl, of course, it’s still uncharted territory.”. The topic still caused a lot of conversation in the next few days.

The shooting in episode 8 made the girls tremble. In an ice truck the girls had to cut a good figure as beautiful ice elves. A fiery look in the icy ambience was required. In addition, cool poses, a passionate attitude and good body control. The poses had to fit immediately, because the longer the shooting lasted, the more the girls froze, which of course could not be seen on the pictures. Not so easy! Especially Laura-Franziska had a lot of trouble with the cold and had to stop after a few minutes. Camilla and Elena K. couldn’t find any good poses, which made it extremely difficult for the photographer. Heidi also criticized them afterwards. The photographer was Henryk Lobaczecwski.

The Australian is known for his expressive fashion editorials. He has also made a name for himself as an advertising photographer. But the ice shoot was new territory for him too: “I usually shoot advertising and fashion campaigns in the studio. I’ve never shot in an ice truck before. It’s going to be a challenge for everyone.”. Meanwhile, a fight broke out among the girls during styling. Many of the girls were annoyed with Elena C.. Elena K.: “Elena always adapts to the person she is with at the moment. She always wants to please everyone and thinks she can only please people if she is just like that person. But that’s just the kind that doesn’t go over well right now.” Later, Elena C. sought comfort from her father over the phone.

The next day. The girls all drove together to Bondi Beach, one of the most famous beaches in Australia and the most famous surf spots in the world. Thomas and Michael were already waiting for them there. The next challenge was on the agenda. The young models had one hour to buy a beach outfit for 100$. In the teams the girls went on their way. While in “Team Thomas” all girls quickly found an outfit, the shopping in “Team Michael” took much longer. The girls had agreed to look for all white outfits. But candidate Luana hadn’t noticed that and couldn’t find anything suitable in the remaining time. She bought 3 white tops and made an outfit out of them. What the girls didn’t know was that they now had to find a beach boy to match the outfit and walk down the catwalk with him. Immediately the models ran off to look for attractive men on the beach. All girls were able to find a walk partner and presented their outfits and beachboys to Michael and Thomas afterwards. The winner was Jasmin. She won a bag from the new Michael Michalsky collection.

At the impressive cliffs of Bombo Quarry the weekly decision took place. But not only the huge location impressed, but also the outfits of the girls gave a lot. The contestants became “Space Goddesses” who landed on another planet. The task: an energetic, cool walk. Camilla, Elena K. and Laura-Franziska couldn’t score here either and therefore wobbled. After some deliberation, the jury decided to give two of the three girls another chance: Elena K. and Laura-Franziska were thus allowed to look forward to a photo after all. For candidate Camilla, the journey on “Germany’s Next Topmodel” came to an end.

The girls’ dream comes true! In the next episode, the eleven girls move into the long-awaited luxury mansion in Los Angeles. No more bunk beds and communal showers! The joy is enormous. Plus, there’s a hot, elegant shoot coming up with special shooting partners and guests. The difficulty: the girls have to come up with the composition of the picture themselves. The jury also makes a tough decision: one girl has to leave the show already before the decision.

The girls also had to show what they were made of in groups of 3 and 4 on the rooftops of Los Angeles. With gaudy clothes in front of a neon-colored background. Star photographer Rankin and Heidi actively support the girls. The first group has the task to shoot with a hot male model. Much to the chagrin of Jasmin. In the end, Male Model Gil and she even had to kiss, which didn’t suit Jasmin at all: “It was almost like cheating! I regret it deeply!”. Despite the drama, Rankin still managed to snap a sexy photo of Jasmin. The second group got a very different accessory: big yellow balls. Especially Kim can convince the photographer of herself. Everything else than Laura-Franziska, because she got to hear properly: Her poses were not good, her facial expression was too boring… Rankin suggested that she simply hold the ball in front of her face, which the candidate didn’t find funny at all. Heidi: “Rankin is not strict. But he just demands a lot from the girls!”. Group 3 had to prove themselves in roller skates. While Julia, Fata and Laura did extremely well and finished quickly, Christin struggled with facial expressions, poses and especially the roller skates. Heidi: “Christin is having a hard time today. You can see that she doesn’t really feel comfortable. She doesn’t really know what to do.” Dressed in blue and equipped with golden steel chains, the fourth and last group has to show what they can do. Taynara in particular has a lot of confidence and fascinates the photographer. Unlike Yusra, because she seems to be demotivated again. In the end she is even cut out of some photos. Even when Taynara tries to give her some tips, Yusra reacts annoyed and angry. Heidi is also anything but enthusiastic: “Yes, I must also say: Yusra looks very bored!”

Famous visit is coming : supermodel Winnie Harlow. Due to the disease vitiligo, her skin has pigment-free areas on the body and face, which became her trademark. The girls are blown away. But the model is not there for pure pleasure, because she wants to practice running with the girls. The only difficulty: the shoes are the wrong size. This should prepare the girls for the real thing. After both teams have trained diligently with Winnie Harlow, the big battle takes place. One girl from “Team Michael” and one girl from “Team Thomas” have to run against each other. Winnie awards the points. But as fate would have it, contestant Camilla falls badly and has to be taken to hospital. The diagnosis: a broken toe. But the other girls are not deterred by this. “Team Michael” wins the battle with 5 to 3 and receives the invitation to the big casting of Maybelline in Berlin. This causes a lot of slander and big conflicts between the two teams.

For the weekly decision, the jury had come up with something very special. The girls became dolls that came to life and had to strike beautiful and elegant poses in the air. Top model Winnie Harlow helped as a guest judge. Jasmin had to be the first to slip into the role of a doll that came to life. But unfortunately she could not convince the jury. Michael: “Jasmin not only has problems to walk, she also has problems to fly”. But because of her photo shoot she could score and made it to the next round. For contestants Yusra and Christin, the journey on “Germany’s Next Topmodel” came to an end. Yusra was heavily criticized once again due to her annoyed and unmotivated manner. Also her performance at the shooting and the walk could not convince the jury.

In the next episode the girls go to Sydney, Australia. There, in the middle of the jungle, the first big nude shooting is scheduled, with which many of the girls have big problems. Especially Fata resists vehemently against the shooting. In addition, a paparazzo tries to photograph the girls. Julia has to go to the hospital because of an allergy and the girls have to do the decision walk on a red carpet.
