Marina Hoermanseder

Marina Hoermanseder is Austrian fashion designer who founded her own fashion label in 2013. Already one year after the foundation she presented her collection at the Berlin Fashion Week. Along the way, she created new uniforms for Austrian Airlines. She was also inspired by uniforms and traditional costumes of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy for her collection, which she showed at Vienna Fashion Week. In keeping with the culture, she also cooperated with a traditional costume company. The result is a dirndl collection.

But Marina can of course also do things differently. Her sometimes unusual creations do not necessarily have anything to do with her culture, rather the opposite. These designs then also wear stars like Lady Gaga and Rihanna in public.

Perwoll: Slow Fashion

Perwoll is a brand for mild detergents that wants to use Slow Fashion to promote sustainable consumption of clothing. For this year’s About You Fashion Week, they collaborated with fashion and design students to design brand new styles from second-hand clothing. With their #RethinkFashion collection, they want to make one statement: it doesn’t always have to be new. It is a call for more conscious fashion consumption and focuses on the longevity of clothing.

Lena Gercke: television and modeling

German model and television presenter Lena Gercke is successful on many levels. Her career probably had its breakthrough with the victory in the first of GNTM. As a result, she won a contract with the prestigious modeling agency IMG Models and appeared on the cover of Cosmopolitan. After that you could see her on various covers of German and international magazines.

In addition to her modeling career, she was also successful in the television industry. She was part of well-known shows like the Supertalent, Austrias Next Topmodel, the Voice of Germany or Schlag den Star. She also landed a job as a voice actress in the movie the Smurfs.

Before founding her own brand with About You in 2019, she received the About You Award in Fashion.

The Dutch jeans and fashion brand G-Star Raw was founded in Amsterdam in 1989 and is especially known for its jeans. But did you actually know what the “Raw” in the name of the brand stands for?! This is about the fact that the jeans remain as untreated as possible, so raw, as in “raw”. The raw, unwashed materials form the basis of each collection, which is why the correct name of the brand is G-Star Raw, even if it is rather known only as G-Star.

Designer Guido Maria Kretschmer

Guido Maria Kretschmer is not only a German fashion designer, but also a TV presenter and juror, for example in the show Shopping Queen.

His design career began with a small stand with self-sewn clothes at the famous hippie market in Ibiza, where he was discovered by Udo Lindenberg. His first orders were thus followed by the creation of his own brand and company. Initially, he worked mainly on behalf of large companies and created primarily uniforms for airlines and hotel chains.

With the creation of a new label, he set his focus on evening wear for women. This was also followed by the first fashion shows in Tokyo and Shanghai, and later in Berlin. He also started to develop costumes for various theater and film productions.

Lena Meyer-Landrut: singer

Lena Meyer-Landrut is a German singer and songwriter who has performed only as Lena since her first album. She became known with her song Satellite, with which she won the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, conceding the second victory for Germany. Occasionally she also works as a model or even voice actress.
