FIV: Hello Jasmin, hello Jonas! Maybe you can introduce yourselves briefly in advance, so that our readers can get an impression of you.

Jasmin & Jonas: We are Jasmin and Jonas and travel since 2019 as a family with our two boys and now two dogs through Europe. We have taken the leap into independence and started our own business as a yoga teacher and photographer this year.

Independent living: On the road in your own van

FIV: How did you come up with the idea of spending your life in a van and traveling?

Jasmin & Jonas: We have been traveling a lot since the beginning of our relationship. The idea to build an independent life to be able to travel permanently came when we were in Southeast Asia in 2014 on a long-term backpacking trip. Our first son was born in 2015 and through the children we got the idea to travel with the camper.

Having previously done a lot of backpacking ourselves, we liked the idea of always having our familiar surroundings, our retreat, with us when we vanlife.

Solar system, fresh water tank, etc.: Necessary equipment

FIV: What kind of gear do you have in your van to support you on your travels?

Jasmin & Jonas: Especially important for us is all the equipment that allows us to stand self-sufficiently free. Not being dependent on campsites allows us to travel completely free. For this we use a solar system, which supplies us with electricity via inverter, a large fresh water tank and a dry separation toilet. So we are completely independent.

FIV: How did you design the interior of the van to have enough space for sleeping, cooking and living?

Jasmin & Jonas: This year we have renovated quite a bit. Jonas has built a bunk bed for the two boys. So you have your own retreat and we now sleep upstairs in the alcove.

For us it is an absolute gamechanger. Previously, the kids slept together in the alcove and we had to convert our dining table into our bed every night. That is no longer necessary. The dining area can remain permanently set up. Our kitchen is in the back of the camper and feels like a little room of its own, which is incredibly helpful in so few square feet.

The right van kitchen equipment

FIV: What cooking utensils and equipment do you have with you to prepare meals in the van?

Jasmin & Jonas: We have normal pots and pans with us. Our tableware is made of stainless steel. It’s super sturdy and lightweight. Our kitchen equipment is almost like that of a normal household, just less of everything. We especially love our milk frother, for creamy lattes, and our USB-rechargeable hand blender.

The most beautiful destinations & surfing

FIV: Which destinations were your favorite and which are next on your list?

Jasmin & Jonas: Every country has its own beauty. Slovenia, Sweden and Sardinia have been our favorite so far. Since we surf (surfing), we also love the French and Spanish Atlantic coast very much. In late summer we will go there again. We plan to drive along the coast towards Portugal and the next winter we would like to spend in Morocco.

Child Friendly Travel: Routines & Occupations

FIV: How do you travel with your children in the van? Do you have any special rules or routines?

Jasmin & Jonas: Our kids were on the road with our camper for the first time when our “big one” was 2 years old and the “little one” was 8 months old. Our most important routine, which we also always try to stick to, is the evening routine. It gives our children a certain consistency that is often missing in the varied daily travel routine. Since we organize everything flexibly in everyday life.

FIV: What employment opportunities do you have for your children during the long trips?

Jasmin & Jonas: We try to drive only a few hours at a time. Ideally about 1-2 hours at the most. Since the kids are older, they are allowed to watch their series or a movie during the drive. On longer trips, they listen to a radio play, read, or play card games. When they were smaller, I (Jasmin) often sat in the back with them and played something with them.

Childproof in a confined space

FIV: How did you childproof the van? Are there any particular safety precautions you take?

Jasmin & Jonas: The most important thing for us is that we don’t leave any sharp or pointed objects lying around and that we stow everything safely. In such a small space, it can happen that you quickly bump into something or drop something. If that were a chef’s knife, that would be bad, of course. So everything is always put away right away.

When the kids still slept in the alcove, we had a self-built and absolutely safe fall-out protection installed. The same now applies to the upper bunk bed.

Tips for traveling with the dog

FIV: How did you prepare for traveling with your dog? Are there any special challenges?

Jasmin & Jonas: Traveling in a camper with a dog is actually quite easy. It is especially important to always read through the entry regulations of the respective country in advance. Because even within Europe there are some important exceptions, such as in Norway. But even if you want to travel outside the EU, there are some precautions to take.

Popular destinations for vanlifers are for example Turkey, Bosnia Herzegovina, Montenegro or Morocco. We started 4 years ago with our little mixed breed dog and adopted a little Greek street dog in the fall of 2022. In the summer months, it is also important to think carefully about which destination makes sense with a dog.

Often dogs are not allowed on beaches and that can be problematic at high temperatures. We are then gladly at the Atlantic (wide beaches, dogs usually allowed) or in the mountains (cooler temperatures). Greece also went great in the summer with dogs.

Vanlife: Is this something for me?

FIV: What tips do you have for other families thinking about starting a similar adventure?

Jasmin & Jonas: If you only know this lifestyle from Instagram or other social media platforms, you should definitely test it extensively for a few weeks first. Because vanlife definitely has its “downsides” and is not as beautiful every day as the pictures on social media suggest.

It’s a wonderful way to travel the world as a family, but at the same time it’s also very difficult and not the right way for every family. The small amount of space and the many different needs can offer a lot of potential for conflict. But for those who love to be outside in nature a lot, want to travel as freely as possible and can cope with rather “little comfort and luxury”, we can highly recommend this way of discovering the world.

From Backpacking to Model: Fabian’s Story

FIV: Hello Fabian! Perhaps you could introduce yourself very briefly in your own words so that our readers can get an impression of you. Who are you and what makes you and your brand special?

Fabian: My name is Fabian Arnold, I am 26 years old and come from near Cologne. After my dual studies as a businessman for insurance and finance in Cologne, I spent a year abroad in Australia, more precisely in Sydney, as a backpacker. There I was discovered as a model and started modeling in the fashion sector. Since then, I’ve lived in cities like Singapore, Milan, London and Berlin, which also led me to work as an influencer on social media.

After meeting with a modeling agency in Los Angeles in 2019, my dream of moving to Los Angeles came true. I was able to fulfill this dream after the pandemic in 2022 when I received a visa. Since 2022, I have also turned to acting and have already made two films. This year I have two more films coming up.

Own business inspired by Greek mythology

At the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, I was thinking in Germany what else I could do besides modeling and acting. Since I have always been interested in Greek mythology and personally have not found any underwear for men that met my needs and also had more to offer in design, I decided to start my own brand.

My goal was to create the best underpants for men. Our USP (Unique Selling Proposition) is clearly our design, not just our brand name. We also rely on innovative technologies like the double bottom to prevent holes between the legs, a reinforced support for a round silhouette and a fitted cut in the front to emphasize masculinity.

The dream of Los Angeles

FIV: What inspired you to move from Germany to Los Angeles to further your career?

Fabian: Since I more or less started my career abroad, I had little contact with the industry in Germany. In Germany, everything is very narrow-minded and everyone fights for themselves, so I don’t really get along with the social politics. I wanted to think bigger and go further out, and Los Angeles is of course the right place to play a role in the global market. Here, it wasn’t enough for me to be successful only in Germany.

I was eager to inspire and reach people all over the world. Since I already had my mother agency in Los Angeles, I had of course already laid the foundation to gain a foothold in Los Angeles. Another point is of course my physical disposition. Since the German model market is strongly focused on fashion and rather slim male models, I have better chances on the American market, especially in Los Angeles, because of my physique.

Also for acting, I could always identify better with the English language in films than making films in German and portraying characters.

Living in Los Angeles: advantages and challenges

FIV: What challenges did you face starting your career in Los Angeles and how did you handle them?

Fabian: Since I had already lived in Los Angeles in 2019, I knew what I was getting into and also already knew people on site. So I was not completely alone here. Los Angeles is a huge city with many artists and people who want to realize their dreams and come here to make a career. So it’s incredibly easy to quickly meet a lot of people who are also working in the industry and make a lot of connections through that.

However, it’s difficult to build real, deep relationships because everything is very fast-paced. All people come to Los Angeles to further their careers. That’s definitely also the biggest danger and risk, that you lose yourself in partying and superficial relationships and don’t find a stable footing.

How much does it cost to live in America?

In addition, the housing market in Los Angeles is extremely expensive. It is almost twice as expensive as in Germany, to find cheap maintenance and cheap apartments is almost impossible. Therefore, you have to reckon with about 2500 € per month just to get a single room. Food in the supermarket is also much more expensive than in Germany.

Therefore, one has to reckon with monthly costs of 4000 to 5000 €. Taking the step to Los Angeles is definitely not easy, especially if you are just trying to start your career. I would recommend everyone to start their career first and then, if it is going well, dare to take the step to America, otherwise it can break your neck.

“Sex Sells”: Important for your career?

FIV: What differences have you noticed between the German and US entertainment industries in terms of acting and modeling?

Fabian: Since I don’t have much experience in the acting industry in Germany yet, I can’t say much about the difference between acting in Germany and in America. But I can imagine that the difference is that in America people always think bigger and approach projects much more ambitiously than in Germany, for example. In Germany, there are also not so many investors who invest a lot of money.

As far as modeling and the entire entertainment industry is concerned, the motto in the U.S. is “sex sells,” and that’s also the biggest difference from the German industry. As a German, you are always taught to have values and to do the right thing. In America, it’s often just about doing good marketing to be perceived as a unique person and to become successful. People will do anything for that, like Kim Kardashian’s sex tape. She did it and now no one cares what she did in the past to become famous.

In Germany, something like that would simply not be possible. So you could say that in America you have greater opportunities by asserting yourself. In Germany, there is a very traditional hierarchy that you have to overcome first.

Development of Fabian’s personal style

FIV: How would you describe your personal style? Are there any trends or styles that you follow?

Fabian: It’s always difficult to describe your own style. Especially because I’ve been active in modeling and social media for six years, I’ve gone through different phases. In the beginning I worked as a Hollister and Abercrombie & Fitch model, with long surfer hair and often topless with Calvin Klein underpants. At some point, that time was over and I wanted to evolve so I wasn’t just the typical “Cute Boy”, so I got more and more into the technology of cameras and video cameras.

Own production company and role models

As a result, I started my own production company, FXA Media GmbH. With my production company, I focused more on the commercial market and developed short films, motivational quotes, thought-provoking content and other formats on my own social media channels. In modeling, I’ve always tried to model myself after Nick Bateman, Zac Efron or Channing Tatum, who I looked up to when I was younger. In terms of acting and my current acting skills, I would say that I could pass for a German version of Channing Tatum or even a Jake Gyllenhaal.

I love doing comedy, but of course I also love doing deep dramas. Of course, since my last name is Arnold, I’ve always looked up to Arnold Schwarzenegger as a role model and would like to work with him in a movie one day. It’s time for Arnold 2.0 to take off in LA. I do my best for that every day, with acting classes, scene study and everything that goes with it, including stunt training.

From Billboard in LA to projects with Dior, Gucci and more.

FIV: What projects have made you most proud in terms of your career?

Fabian: Relatively high on my list is definitely the global campaign for Aussiebum, which I shot in Australia in 2018. The photo was then presented as a huge billboard on Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles. When I was in Los Angeles for a few months in 2019, it was an indescribable feeling to see myself on a billboard in Los Angeles.

Besides this project, of course, I had many other projects with brands like Dior, Versace, Gucci, Cartier and MCM. Overall, it’s been an incredible journey with a lot of great things happening that you can’t boil down to one specific project. I’m just incredibly grateful for all these opportunities to meet so many interesting people and put myself out there.

Fabian’s tip: Hard work pays off!

FIV: What advice would you give to young people who want to pursue a career in acting or modeling?

Fabian: One thing must be clear to anyone who aspires to a career as an artist: It’s a very, very long road, with many ups and downs. Often you feel like you don’t want to do it anymore and you don’t even know why you’re doing it at all. You have to work hard every day, because somewhere in the world there is always someone who can do it better, looks better and has more skills. You have to use every free second to improve yourself, develop yourself, read books and be present on social media. Even if you want to work as a fashion model, social media is now essential and you have to perform well there.

Own network and a clear vision

Nowadays, acting and the modern market is much more than just about the talent itself. You also have to deal a lot with marketing and building your own network. You have to be aware that it will be a hard road and you have to persevere. However, you shouldn’t be discouraged by people badmouthing you. There will always be people who criticize.

You should take the positive out of it, either by recognizing that they are envious of what you have already accomplished, or by accepting the criticism and thinking about how you can improve your work.

However, it is also important not to give too much weight to every criticism. Sometimes you have to stick to your own ideology and ideas and work on them. Having a clear vision is essential in any case.

Through experience to entrepreneurship

FIV: How has your experience as a model, influencer, and actor influenced your approach to entrepreneurship and starting your brand?

Fabian: Through my extensive behind-the-scenes experience with various fashion brands and my dual studies as a business administrator for insurance and finance with a focus on marketing and sales, I was already able to learn a lot about the entrepreneurship of fashion brands. My main goal was to create something that doesn’t exist in this world yet, instead of being just another street style brand for apparel.

In addition, I knew from my knowledge of influencer marketing that only brands with the highest quality and positive word-of-mouth effect can be successful. Since I can’t compete with brands like H&M or Zara without investors and a big budget, the focus of my brand is on quality and attention.

“You can always connect the dots in your life”.

Through my contacts in different fields and my own skills, I tried to work out the strengths and shape the brand around those strengths. As a male model and with many contacts with photographers, I knew I wanted to create a high quality designer brand to capitalize on the strengths of photographers and my model friends. Since I also know many magazines, my goal was to place editorials in these magazines.

Everything you learn in life you can apply in some way, and that’s also something I’d like to pass on. Even through my dual studies as a business administrator for insurance and finance, which has nothing to do with the fashion world or a new fashion company, I learned basic skills like creating Excel spreadsheets, conducting business negotiations, or understanding marketing and sales, as Steve Jobs once said: “You can always connect the dots in your life.”

Through my work in acting, I have of course also met many actors and personalities who can act as brand ambassadors for my brand. So I try to take advantage of all the areas that my contacts offer.

Nereus: A brand that conveys strength

FIV: What are the most important values or messages you want to convey with your brand?

Fabian: The name of the brand (NEREUS) was not just chosen at random. I must have taken a year and thought about which name was not yet available on the market and which name also had a meaning in mythology. Nereus is the god of the Aegean Sea in Greek mythology, which lies between Turkey and Greece. It is said that he had the gift of prophecy and people from all over the world came to him to talk to him and seek divine advice.

In addition, it is said that Nereus conveys strength and gives supernatural powers. This is exactly what NEREUS products are supposed to offer: Through innovative cuts, finest materials and great design, your self-esteem shall be strengthened and your self-confidence shall be increased to make you a demigod. That’s where the slogan “Half God, Half Human” comes from. On our website, we tell you a lot about the mythology and background of the god worlds.

The brand’s values are clearly defined: You can achieve anything you set your mind to if you work hard and are confident. This is exactly the feeling NEREUS wants you to have by wearing our underwear every day from morning to night, as it is the garment you wear every day. You feel more comfortable and confident in your own body when you wear something that feels great and is perfectly cut. With an innovative cut with a supportive bottom area and a sculpted front, it emphasizes masculinity and strength.

Characters with magical powers

FIV: How did your creative vision as an actor translate into the design and style of your products?

Fabian: I was always blown away by the movie “Percy Jackson” back then and love watching movies where a person gains magical powers, like in “Spider-Man”, “Captain America”, “Iron Man” or even “Superman”. Since water has always played an important and fulfilling role for me and I have always loved to move in water, it was important for me to use the trident as a symbol of strength.

A dream, of course, would be to one day make films about NEREUS in which I myself would be an actor. On the waistband of the underpants you can see a battle of demigods and creatures, reminiscent of a Greek mythology war movie such as “Troy”, “300” or even “Sparta”. All the content, the model images and also the campaign videos are all shot in acting and move heavily into editorial, away from just modeling in front of a white wall.

More than just packaging!

FIV: Is there anything else that makes Nereus the new best underwear for men?

Fabian: Another special feature is of course the packaging, which is not only meant to be thrown away, but can also be used as a coffee table box or for the bookshelf due to its unique design and quality with the certificate of authenticity. The first black box “Season One” is very limited and after the first season will of course come a second season, which is completely white.

Then comes the third season, then the fourth, and all together form a pattern for the bookshelf or even the coffee table. We’ve been thinking not only about the products, but also about how to reduce packaging and increase its use to leave a positive environmental footprint. Our goal is clearly not to create just another fashion brand, but to take the right step, to act as a role model and not just focus on profit, but to act according to the motto: Do the right thing.

Briefs and swim trunks: this is what you can be excited about

FIV: What products are planned next?

Fabian: The next products planned are a dark gray and a light gray version, as well as briefs and a new waistband. In addition, we will push with momentum into the area of swim trunks and also Speedos.

We will also move with momentum into swimwear, sportswear, apparel, jewelry, beauty and interior design.

In addition to the underpants and other products, another highlight is the Members Club, which works similarly to Amazon Prime. Uranos: The white design for purity

In the first generation of Greek mythology, Uranos rules over the world. He embodies heaven and symbolizes the purity of the sky. Nereus has incorporated these ideologies into the design of his white underwear. The white fabric in the design represents the purity and divinity of Uranos.

Sport as a balance: life as a fitness lover

FIV: You are a fitness trainer and nutritionist. Why is sport and a healthy diet indispensable in life for you personally?

René: Sports have always shaped my life. I’m grateful that my parents made it possible for me to take part in club sports at an early age. I had to find my way around a bit and try things out. But they supported me in every activity and that’s how I ended up playing handball for almost 25 years now.

With 16/17 the fitness training came along and is since then also a fixed part of my life.

Sport has become a kind of balance where I can forget everything else. I always feel better after a good session.

Experience through proper nutrition

FIV: What motivated you to produce nutrition content for Instagram alongside your job? Why and how did you start?

René: Unfortunately, I injured my shoulder a bit more severely when I was 22/23 and had to put my “handball career” on the back burner. During the time of rehab, the thought arose in me to want to know more about my body and my health. This urge for further education has not gone away.

In the meantime, I am completely free of complaints and, thanks to my optimized diet, I am more powerful than ever. I would like to pass this knowledge on to young people, so that they are one step ahead of my old self. I would have wished for something like that.

Also, cooking is a huge hobby of mine and I believe that everyone has the time to cook simple and quick things healthy. I would like to exemplify that.

Produce content: elaborate reels

FIV: Your content consists exclusively of reels. How long does it take you to plan, create and edit a new video?

René: It varies… Depending on the effort, I can be through with everything within an hour, but it can also take up to two and a half hours.
Whereas I don’t see it that way, because the food that is cooked is then always my food for the day … and well, I have to cook anyway.

Spontaneous cooking or planned meals?

FIV: You must have lots of ideas in your head. Do you always plan your meals for the week or do you spontaneously cook whatever comes to mind?

René: That also varies. Overall, everything is very orderly and regulated, but sometimes it comes from now and then that I feel like “this one” creation.

FIV: Your recipes are very creative and versatile. How do you find inspiration for new recipes?

René: That’s a good question… I’m always looking for new recipes that I don’t know yet. When I find something, I mix it with my preferences and often great things come out of it.

Right on trend: Mealprep

FIV: Mealprep is a very trendy topic right now. What are your top 3 meal prep recipes?

René: Mealprep is so important, otherwise I would probably not survive the very long days so well. However, I do not have a top 3, but a compilation:

• A rather unprocessed source of carbohydrates
• Protein source
• Vegetables (for the vitamins)

This must be in, then it always works!

Motivation for a healthy diet

FIV: In your coaching, you help people achieve their goals. How can you encourage people to get excited about healthy eating?

René: We only have one life. In this life, everyone should be as happy and free of complaints as possible. Unfortunately, many unhealthy lifestyles only take revenge in the later part of life and I would like to prevent that, or make it clear to people. Nobody has to walk around with a washboard stomach, but a healthy life should be the claim of each of us.

Get out of the comfort zone!

FIV: How important is a consolidated mindset to achieve one’s goals (e.g. getting fitter/healthier or losing weight)?

René: Mindset is also such a “newfangled” term. You could also call it discipline. It’s like everywhere…

If you want to succeed and chase a goal, you need some discipline or a solid mindset to stay on the ball. We are usually moving outside of our comfort zone and a certain amount of stamina is needed.

The way to the beach figure

FIV: Many dream of a trained beach figure. If I just start now, can I still reach my goal this summer?

René: Hehe, I have to be completely honest. Even the best exercises won’t help you there. The time to start is always … and I guarantee you, if you start now, you’ll be a long way better than you are now. Train properly and consistently. Take care of your diet so that your body and muscles have all the nutrients they need… and the rest is patience and perseverance.

New routines lead to your goal

FIV: Many are still beginners when it comes to nutrition. What are the most common mistakes beginners make and how can you help them avoid them?

René: The biggest are crash diets or any diet pills / shakes. Because usually, after the completed diet, you fall back into his old eating behavior and the kilos come up again. A tip, try to integrate more vegetables. In addition, sweets and junk food consciously enjoy. And in this way, always create new routines that bring you step by step to the goal.

FIV: Hello dear Anni, thank you for taking the time for this interview! Please tell us something about yourself first.

Anni: My name is Anni, I am 28 years old, I come from a village with 300 inhabitants, I grew up on my grandparents’ farm and after my training as a hotel manageress I moved to Munich for a total of 6 years, where I was able to turn my passion into my profession.

I love to travel solo with my dog and self extended Van Elmo and share a lot on social media about (solo) travel, being brave, mental health and also the topic of relationships and feeling good.

Be free! Advantages of solo travel

FIV: You like to travel alone. What advantages does that have for you and what excites you most about traveling solo?

Anni: I’m always spontaneous and can do exactly what I feel like doing. You are absolutely unbound and free in your approach.

FIV: Do you ever feel lonely on your solo travels? If so, how do you deal with it?

Anni: I actually never feel lonely, not only because I usually have my dog with me, but also because I enjoy just being by myself.

At home on wheels: Travel with van

FIV: On Instagram, you’re usually seen traveling in your van. How do you deal with the fact that traveling in a van often means limited access to internet and electricity?

Anni: It actually grounds me a lot and after every van trip I appreciate everything that we take for granted at home even more. Always electricity, hot water, it is why around you, everything can be done faster.

With the van, I am where I feel most comfortable: in the middle of nature.

Experience with roof tents: The advantages

FIV: In which places did you particularly enjoy camping and why?

Anni: It doesn’t matter where, as long as it’s in nature. However, I have fallen very much in love with Norway and Sweden.

FIV: In one of your posts you show how you spend the night in a roof tent. What are the advantages here compared to a conventional tent?

Anni: A roof tent has many advantages, it is high up and you don’t have to be afraid of animals coming into the tent. It is more stable, it fits on almost every car and you have a 1A view of everything around.

Tripod as an aid: producing content alone

FIV: You are an independent content creator. How do you produce your content when you’re out on your own?

Anni: I always have my tripods with me, it all takes longer but I love to film and photograph. My camera tripod even has a name: Ramon.

FIV: You have almost 130,000 followers on Instagram. Have you already been able to motivate some of your subscribers to give solo travel a try?

Anni: Yes, and there is really nothing better for me than reading these grateful messages. Inspiring people to spend time with themselves and appreciate nature is really great and I find it very fulfilling.

Choosing itineraries: Planning or spontaneous?

FIV: You have traveled to many different places. How do you choose your itineraries?

Anni: To be honest, my motto is usually: “Planless is the plan”.

Mostly I have a destination and everything else on the route I plan spontaneously. Even if I plan everything through, I usually throw it around again and plan differently than planned.

Tips for solo travel

FIV: Do you have any tips for people who also want to travel alone but are still unsure?

Anni: Don’t think too much, just do it! Be brave and get out of your comfort zone!

Six years in the gym: the road to the dream body

FIV: Maybe you can introduce yourself briefly in your own words, so that our readers can get an impression of you. Who are you and what makes you special?

Aylin: Hello you beautiful people, im Aylin, 22 years old and incredibly proud of my body. I’ve been working out in the gym for 6 years now, forging my dream body! On Instagram I take my followers on this journey and gift you with my experiences and knowledge.

Mental strength through regular sports

FIV: On your Instagram account, you like to share your fitness lifestyle. What has been your biggest success since you became passionate about fitness?

Aylin: My biggest success is actually finally looking in the mirror and being happy with what I see. I just love it and am also grateful for the mental strength the gym gives me.

FIV: Certainly a large part of your life takes place in the gym. How often and how long do you spend your time there?

Aylin: I’m there about 5-6 times a week for about 2 hours. But also only so long because I just take my time with the exercises. I think in the time you would either sit in front of the TV or on the cell phone, so you can also just as well in the gym.

10,000 steps rule: stairs instead of elevator!

FIV: You like to collect your 10,000 steps a day. How do you manage to integrate enough exercise into your daily work routine?

Aylin: It’s actually not that hard if you divide it up over the day. It’s not just walks that count, but also the choice of whether to take the stairs or the elevator at work today.

FIV: Weight training is a very demanding sport. Have you ever been injured? If so, how did you deal with it?

Aylin: So far, fortunately, I haven’t hurt myself because I just take my time and practice the execution until I have it down without a doubt.

Proper Nutrition: Protein & Vitamin Rich

FIV: Sport also includes a balanced diet. How do you take care of this in order to achieve your physical goals?

Aylin: I make sure I eat enough protein to build muscle and tone my body. Otherwise vitamin-rich and without renunciation, because I also like to eat chocolate.

FIV: You often stress the importance of eating enough protein a day. What foods are the best for you to reach your goal?

Aylin: Most of the time I make sure to buy protein foods when I shop. Examples are low-fat curd cheese, yogurt, turkey cold cuts, salmon, red lentils, etc. Furthermore, I like to consume protein shakes, which then also simplify this for me.

Training and nutrition plan for your goals

FIV: How important is it to have a personalized training and nutrition plan to achieve physical goals?

Aylin: It’s very simple. Every body is different – has different needs and a different starting point.

There is no universal training plan and just because one plan worked for me does not promise success for others using that plan! That is why it is important to have an individual training plan.

Criticism on social media: the right way to handle it

FIV: Do you also get a lot of criticism on social media? If so, how do you deal with negative comments?

Aylin: I actually get mostly positive feedback and if something negative comes up it’s totally fine. There will always be people who don’t find what you do cool. Not only on social media but also in real life.

Set small goals for the beginning

FIV: With just under 22,000 subscribers, I’m sure there are many who are just getting started with fitness. What tips would you give to people who are just starting out and want to eat healthier?

Aylin: Set small goals that you can reach 100% and increase bit by bit.

Nutritionally, I recommend starting to learn about protein-rich foods and eating more protein. It is also not yet necessary to directly count any calories.

Tips for more motivation to do sports

FIV: You’ve had a stressful day. How do you motivate yourself to do sports in the evening? Do you have any tips for our readers when motivation is lacking?

Aylin: Nobody is always motivated. Neither am I. But I love the results and I love that feeling after the workout. You know you did something good for your body and it will pay off. Also, I have never regretted a workout. Rather, I’ve regretted the ones I didn’t do.
